DJ Shorts Blueberry

Sikly I start all my seedlings and clones in straight Roots soil

Why I am growing this strain is kind of a silly reason. many people look up to DJ and consider him one of the true real breeders around including myself but just because someones spent 15 years on one strain dosn't make it a great product.
I am detailing what is found in a pack of 175$ seeds and how close the females come to the descriptions. My experience tells me that this strain is just as unstable as most cannabis seeds on the market today so we will see.

All I want is a plant that actually smells and taste like Blueberry nothing more.

That doesn't sound so silly to me. I refuse to pay that much for seeds when I know I can get a knock off version that's probably as good, if not better. I'm doing Joey Weed's version and I was suprised when I first harvested. I had 3 females and they all were very similar phenos. I had one that had too high a leaf to calyx ration for my liking but it's prett stoney and tastes and smells damn good! I'm anxious to see how it turns out for ya.:leaf:

A quote from DJ Short.

"For the record let me state that I have never used colchicine, or any other mutagen, in my breeding work . All of my selections are from organically produced crops. I do have my suspicions, however, primarily concerning some of the Thai strains that I have used."

Well for whatever reason your doing it, it's cool you are. In fact, that's the reason most of us have grow journals so that we can show others what to expect and see if there's something out there we got to have. The prices of DJ's stuff has always been my biggest hurdle I also purchased JW BB from hempdepot when I purchased your querkle from them. I haven't grown them yet but I'm looking for a good blueberry taste and honestly I want to see some color for all times I've read it cures blue or is lavender. For the record all the querkles were mature and sprouted but I killed them. I did grow one more recently and it was my best grower so I was surprised since I've heard it's a slow grower. It was a male though. Looking forward to seeing this one subbed lol

I generally only start 5 seeds when I do a run I found keepers in a 5 pack of 3d,Vortex,Chernobyl, and Jilly and JTR I would expect the same from these.
I also have limited room :)

hey sub do you mind if I join in. I got his true blueberry popped 2 got 2 females. As you can see one is full out mutant and one is partial mutant. I got cuts in clone tray was going to throw in the mutant in two weeks. I can throw them both in if you want. I grow in ffof mix with perlite. Fox farm nutes. 1000watt sun system xxl hood I got to transplant in morning dont really expect a large yield cause they arent that big.

btw had to add pic of my querkle that is going in also

Thanks for the show, it is appreciated. I've never seen a plant topped that early. :-)
I think your expectations are a bit high though. Judging a breeders strain based on three plants seems a bit hard, as I'm sure you've also had plenty of 5 packs that don't have a keeper too. Plus maybe DJ's goal was genetic diversity for his IBL.

Hey subcool, I just started a Blueberry grow from bagseed Blueberry. It starts on page 6 of my journal if you want to check it. Here is a pic of the seeds, do they look at all similar to DJ Shorts?

Nice, hope ya get a keeper.
Been looking at Dj's and DP's Blueberry not sure which to go with, won't be a while until I get to that strain may even get both we'll see.
Probably try out your Super Soil with this, Blueberry sounds like it just has to be organic :-D

Well with a shakey start DJ is now getting a great report. Out of 6 seeds germinated I actually got 3 very similar females that all look like copy's so hats off to the Blueberry man!

I took the time to snap a few shots no close ups but the plants are happy and healthy and I thought you guys would want to take a look.

This is actually only 2 of the three females as one was way back in to bud room.

I noticed in the 5th pic one of the leaf fingers is kinda flipped up. Mine all do this a lot as well. Do you know what causes this? I'm assuming it's the genetics but I could be wrong.:joint:

Looking awesome BTW.
