growing in pro mix hp no addatives. wondering if i need run off when i water since too get run off the pro-mix has to be very saturated delaying drying times.? any info?

Normally I'd water about 3/4 of a gallon of water for a 5 gallon pot of Pro-Mix every three days. 90% of the plants have no run off whatsoever the other 10 percent might drain a few ounces. Get some Canna Terra Soil it's ten times more porous than Pro-Mix you don't even need to add perlite to it. It's the best soil I've ever used period.

im on my 3rd harvest/grow. ive never checked run-off. I ph 6.5 going in and never look at anything after that. I have excellent yield and a top quality medical product that I cant keep in stock for my patients.

cheers for quick reply mate... I ph tested my water and it's 7.4 7.5 ish...
I don't no what I should be changing it to my run off was 6.8 a few days ago but today was 7.1 I think... I'm confused... I posted pics a minute ago and you can just see the tips of first leaves turning yellowish brown and edges curling upwards?? I'm sure it's nothing too serious.. no nutes yet as Ive read canna pro is lightly fertilized..

should I adjust my water to 6.5 because it reads 7.4 or 5 at the moment my runoff a few days ago was 6.8 and yesterday was 7.1 so I'm a little confused

Same, only on my 4th and i don't call it "medicinal", although we know it is... Most marijuana is smoked/consumed for purely recreational purposes (just my opinion).

my tap Ph is 7.4 I let it sit for a day or two but still 7.4...
and I've not added any nutes as of yet because I've read canna pro is lightly fertilized... I've noticed a few leaves turning yellowish brown and edges curling upwards but new growth looks healthy... she's only 16 days old... temps were steady around 24°c but fan blew two days ago and temps were 37 so I'm thikin that's the leaf problem.. but because being unsure of Ph it made me think that also.. what's your opinion?

I can't find any decent info on canna terra pro... not plus... if it's Ph stable or not and I've heard it's lightly fertilized so I've not added anything as of yet... I have ionic nutes grow bloom an pk boost ready and formulex and didn't wanna risk nute burn when I'm unsure of this canna pro

Well ive heard that those soiless blends like the ph decent so bring it down a bit may help you if its not buffered down with the nutrients. Youll be okay if your not spot on but i may want to get a tad closer. Your nutrients may buffer the waters ph down enough that youll be good too. Your at 14-15 days i thought, so id mix up a small glass of full strength solution and test the ph of that. Then you can dillute it alot and use it on her at a low ppm. Then youll know if you still need to change the ph. Hell its 15 days right? She may be getting a bit of an appetite by now.

thanks mate... I just didn't want to risk makin anything worse by addin nutes only because I've heard that it's supposed to have enough fertilizer in it to last till flowering... nothing concrete tho... should I mix up a very weak formulex feed or use ionic grow?
also please give me an opinion on this pic... thanks... could this be down to Ph issues?

anyone else?
All I've ever used is Promix. However I mix at least 1/4 Pearlite into it.
PH my water to about 6.5 after mixing nutrients.
Water until I get run-off. Never had over watering problems.
Check out my plants at 3 weeks, watering until run-off.

Longest I went without watering is 6 days that was when I transplanted.
Just gotta let the pot get real light. I do it all by feel of pot.

I agree if your ph is 5.5-low 6 after nutrients you should be fine as long as your soil is also in check with no ph raisers
