I will be using Voodoo Juice in my dwc grow. I will be cleaning my reservoir every two weeks. Do I still need to use peroxide or it will kill the good bacteria? Thank you and God Bless.

Peroxide will kill all bacteria beneficial or not.

No... well at least with southern AG i don't have to.. i don't even swap water anymore, just top up and check PH. Southern AG is one of the best things i ever did for my growing:)

Do you use the 0.2ml/gal rate as well? I just started using it my last feed - recommended by so many others on this forum.

My res temps are usually 72-78... should I be using more than 0.2ml/gal? lol
I would use whatever is recommended.. i just happen to over-do it most of the time:) i LOVE AG... my current grows roots are amazing and pure white.. first time i have had them this clean..

I used Great white for my first grow roots were definitely nice and healthy .

do you prefer southern AG over Great White ? Ive read good things about Mykos here too , not sure what to get for my next Grow or if I should stick to th epricey Sharks

No.. per another user here, i breed AG ina bucket and pretty much drown my plants in it.. like 5ml per gallon..
You got your multiplication bucket working good. Glad to hear it. Big money saver huh? As I remember you had issues at first with the multiplication, what did that turn out to b, I am curious? Probably something simple I overlooked.

Multiply your beneficial bacteria and then the cost isn't a big deal. This is what @icetech was referring to. You can take a few ml of your favorite beneficial bacteria product like the SAG GFF and multiply the hell out of it with a bucket of water, air stone and a form of simple sugar.

I usually take some of my nutrients (figure it's good for the bacteria), maybe cut it to 50% strength with some water, add a simple sugar of some sort like molasses, AN carboload works bomb (favorite), I have even used brown sugar because I had it, add a few ml of your bennies and set it to bubbling.

Make sure it doesn't get too hot from the air pump or that could kill off the bacteria instead of multiplying them. Within a few days you will have a bucket full of your favorite bennies and you can now use it as much as you want.

I will usually pull a couple big scoops (quarts) out to add to my nutes when I am feeding plants and just top it back up and maybe add a little more sugar. Once a week or so start a fresh bucket.

Once just to see if it would work I didn't clean the bucket or air stone and I just added the nutrients and sugar and let it brew off the bacteria that were left in the bucket and on the air stone, worked great. Just don't clean your air stone with anything that will kill bacteria, it's pretty much impossible to rinse it all off and it will kill off your culture.

I am interested in hearing from @icetech as I recall, when I first told him about this technique, he was having some difficulty replicating my results. I would like to know what I overlooked. When describing my process, none of my measurements were precise, I always just eyeballed it.

Everything was fine it turns out.. just had no way to verify it was working til i ran it for awhile :) And didn't wanna pay for a microscope.. I'm back to just using it out of the AG bottle now cause i don't use much and it lasts forever anyway.

BTW.. to anyone following this thread.. my current grow has been in their buckets for about 2.5 months now.. i have not cleaned the buckets a single time.. only water/nutes/AG.. i should be harvesting in a few weeks and will see how my roots look cause i have even looked at time. The plants are super healthy and happy though so i expect them to be fine:) AG is easily the best thing i have done for my grows.

P.S. i don't even drain the buckets to refill.. when they get about 1/2 empty (every other day) i top up with more nutes and check PH.. done.
