So is this a reasonable reading for lights I’m not sure what number I’m shooting for I know this is a shitty meter but I know there’s gotta be a number to shoot for lights about 24 inches above when I move them down to about 18 it’s buried in the two grand mark

Your reading is 900, that meter reads in foot candles, i had to look it up. Then i had to convert.
1 foot candle =10.76 lumens/lux
You have 9687 lux at meter.
Convert that to ppfd equals 222 umols/s/m2
Typically we want 400+ for cannabis in veg.
No bingo sorry but hey if they're doing good dont sweat the small stuff

Throw that thing in the trash. Yes it's a shitty meter for every function.

If you need light height recommendations then consult the owners manual for your light and adjust as needed.

I figured was just trying to keep it the same reading as my last grow but this is first time I’ve delt with real autos pre flower at week three so I’m trying to just make them run the marathon to the finish line

Treat your autoflowers like any other plant and you'll be fine as long as you keep them healthy. People actual like they need some special care when they only need PROPER care.

Only thing wrong with the meter is it's top range, wont read higher end of intensity. It's more for gardening and shade/some shade/part sun type plants. I use the app Tent Buddy on my android phone.
Also I'm no genius i just paid attention in school

Yeah just use it as a comparison to the number that worked for you last time ..
I just got an app for my android phone called PPFD Meter by Home Studio Inc. that converts Lux to PPFD but to calibrate it you need the specs of your phone's ambient light sensor which I can't find, a real Lux meter or a light of known PPFD to set it to. Amazon dot CA has them from $16 - 100+ so a $40 one should be good enough and get me free shipping. I wouldn't mind one for photography use anyways. I got a set of macro tubes for my old Canon AE-1 35mm film cameras a couple years back and want to try them out for close-up shots of some buds.

:peace:
