Droopy tips

Hey all!

Beginner grower looking for some advice
:)

After a first grow that went pretty poorly, i'm trying to get this one right !

I purchased 3 Dinafem seeds (Blue Hash, Blue Cheese and Blue Widow) on January 4th, they sprouted nicely in jiffy jars.
On the 10th of January, I have put them directly in pots ( H: 23 cm W:18cm \\ H: 9inches W: 7inches).

They all have the same symptomes
Tips of the leaves that are droopy

I thought this may be due to over watering (i'm still not sure) however now its been 5 days since I havn't watered and the tips have not been getting any better ( they have not been getting worse either)

If I stick my finger in the soil, its dry on the top, but cold a inch deep ( not sure if this is cold or still moist...)

I also have never gave them nutrients yet, I wanted to water them once more before doing so, what do you guys think?
Should I water these little girls to runoff aswell?

Thanks and any advice / feedback is appreciated!

Best regards

How's the plants doing? The first thing to address here is getting familiar with your growing medium. A good place to start is with Sunshine Mix # 4 by Sun Gro. It's a very airy mix, it basically inhibits over watering, and won't hold water longer than a week, if not 3 days depending on plant size. Pot size also matters! Never pot into anything bigger than 3x its volume(2x = best), until you know what you are doing! It's nutrient-less, so you know what you're putting into the medium. It's ph stable due to additives, and for pros, because of a wetting agent(Yucca works well for over watering as well) which spreads water away from channels in soil, increasing root tips for the plant, which in turn absorb all those good nutrients! The rule of thumb is to have 10-15% run-off of water, so 1L of water for a 10L pot, this will keep the salts from sticking in the medium, which create an environment to block nutrients from getting to the roots. As before, get familiar with the mix, and plant temperament. I can just grab some soil, feel it, squeeze it, lift pots, bend stems, look at leafs, etc... You are a plant, if you can sit for 5-10 mins finger in the soil, and pull out a wrinkled finger, does that look/feel good? Imagine those delicate white roots sitting in that! They like it moist, but not damp is best put! Grab a handful of soil, squeeze the shit out of it, and see how much water comes out, done. Not everything is as straight forward as you see on the internet. Everyone learnt by experience, more so than others! I tend to go by only giving what my plants need, Thank you Harley Smith!! If the water is growing my plant fine without nutrients. Most likely the water contains all you need, until shes starts needing more. Some use a cal-mag to supplement it when missing in waters, check your local water papers if on town/city. Nitrogen tends to be the first missing nutrient, being used most by the plant in foliage growth/vegetative state. Cal-mag next, and maybe Iron after, doubtful. Some nutrients can get locked out from over watering, just learn to read the plant like a best friend. Nitrogen is a simple fix as well, it can be corrected within 24 hours as a foliar spray, or watering. Which is why I don't like to overdose! Toxicity shows up as bent leaf tips downwards. The plant will actually spend energy, and time assimilating nitrogen to a usable form, just because it's there! Don't let deficiencies scare you! Cannabis plants are very hardy, and come back like champs. It's when sticky icky is on your mind, things get difficult! Please advise me with any further questions!! I just got back into it, and I love love growing cannabis!! I found your thread looking for Dinafem Blue Hash plant reviews haha! Piece of advice, soooo many good strains now, I recommend growing ones to fit the temperament of you. and your grow room, to maximize yields, and quality of course!
