Dry sift for under a fiver.

I picked up the 1x1 mtr screen from ebay.
Put your trim into a bucket

I used a 150 micron screen fixed over the bucket with a bungee cord, you can use any screen you want.

Then shake it over a sheet of plastic.

Gather it, bag it.

Enjoy!

You dont toss in some dry ice? Always find that helps with dry sifting.

No i didn't chill it or anything, apparently dry ice can be a bit more leafy?

Not sure... that's how we always made it. I only do bubble now, in my washing machine. Less effort.

Nah it’s not green till towards the end. You do separate piles and the first one is white af

I've not tried it Co2 isn't readily available here and it's expensive.

I'm not trying to reinvent dry sift making, do it however you want,
if want to do it for less than a fiver follow above... Or don't.

Yeah no ice is better for dry sift as he said cos if you use it you end up with more plant material in the mix i trust frenchy canoli over most when it comes to hash and thats what he always said

Ya you don't need to shake hard or do much work with the dry ice. The more work you do the more contaminants you get. Same with bubble though.

I done some research into pollen tumbler screens and they range from 125 fine
150 med
180 coarse so i thought 150 was a good starting point.

These coffee baskets are 120 micron, works great if you don’t card it, just shake over parchment paper. Then i press hash buttons in a tube with pennies and a vice.

From what i gather, trich heads range between 70 and 120 microns. If you run thru 120 then keep whats on top of the 70 screen it filters out the thinner trich stalks, leaving just heads.

So that’s just literally your shit from the left over nothing special about product I’m sure the end product was but that’s just along the way trim literal an you turn or get the resin out of it ?
I heard when younger that leaf an trim made truly good oil but I’ve never seen it I’ve always seen buds or off cut buds used small crappy stuff so this is interesting to me an I would very much like to try this I will try it very soon love the knowledge shared on this site so much more in depth an friendly I like it it’s good to see always what ever I looked up on line google such so litre actual info an I just figured most of not all are like that they don’t like to share there wisdom thinking that someone else couldn’t know or would never figure it out lol but here we share an share with detail no cards held oh ok maybe a card or two but the share an care Is truly good to see

Yes it's just the trim, larf and resinous leafs, that particular lot came from a king gelato even the leafs were covered in resin, it was a hash or sift making delight.

I've changed my sifting technique

It's ideal.
