Dry weed at the dispensaries

I recently went to Redmond Oregon and got to discover the world of dispensaries. This is the first time I have ever been in one of these stores and was shocked at how dry all the bud I got was. Down south where I come from our bud is for sure not this dry. Is this normal at dispensaries in Oregon?

Should have a harvest date on the bottle, seems a bit dryer when it gets older. Also the cheap stuff seems a bit dry sometimes. I've gotten bud that I thought wasn't dry enough too. Less moisture means higher thc though right? Lol

Yeah, I get dry shit at the retail shops. I think in NV they have some moisture target that isn't high enough. It loses it's smell and "personality".

Huh, didn't think it was intentional, but that does make sense mold wise... For re-hydration (dry when you got it, or badly stored) I *really* like the 62% RH version of this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JV27MF4/ (it's $15 for 10 and each pack will treat a couple ounces for up to a year in a mason jar.) It had one hell of an effect on my now 8 year old harvest that was VERY MUCH improperly stored (plastic baggy that I forgot about several moves ago.) It's not a miracle worker, but I highly advise it for at least anything you're currently smoking or soon will be... for long term storage (multiple year) , I might give the 49% a try as I don't think the 32% would do much but keep it from turning to actual dust ;)

I ask how everything smokes and rolls. Most of the bud tenders I find use bongs but they can still tell you if its sticky, too dry or doesn't burn right. I've had decent luck asking basic questions... plus you always have to ask them what the best stuff they have is cause looks are deceiving sometimes :)

Don't get me even started about southern oregon old and dry bud! I ask those assholes the harvest date before ever buy anything anymore. One time I got shit 2 years old! And had damp rag smell in the jar. I have been so pissed off with Oregon bud I'm growing 12 plants. Now to be fair I only found one farm that is dank like san diego and called sofresh farms! Only problem is they almost never stock it. Anyway my advice is shop by farm not dispensary. Some farms I tried I actually liked sofresh farms and roganja. Stay away from anything millerville and avitas! Every dispensary desperately trying unload their old nasty millerville. Really nasty shit and pratically no high!
