I’ve been designing (probably insufficiently) and planning this dry/cure room build for a little while now, and accumulating materials and now construction has finally begun. Any inputs are welcome, im no builder nor engineer, and my experience is limited, but I’m eager and driven, so I will get it right one way or another.
the dimensions are going to be 10x6 and I will have a 12000 btu mini split handling the air.5C24CE24-25B6-4E33-8FE3-09BE1952DA9C.jpeg

first layer of insulation, 1” R5 insulation board.

I have decided to make this a “sealed grow room” I will also use it as a dry room as well.

So you have tied that drain into your plumbing, or daylighted it outside?

And every existing insulated concrete floor I have ever done, we always put rigid foam sheets down on the surface of the concrete and then put flooring over the sheets....what state are you in?

Daylighted it. The existing concrete was compromised structurally, and since I had to break out some for the drain anyway, just figured might as well start fresh. But yes, I did put 2” foil lined rigid foam insulation down and then poured concrete.

I am in way upstate ny. I can actually see Canada directly out my living room window lol
