Starting the veg today for my next cycle. Germinating 10 seeds total. 5 Pure Love and 5 Arise, both from Irie Genetics.

I got a 65w quantum board yesterday from HLG, which will be used to veg in a small 2x2 area. 20190202_154338.jpg

Some photos from tonight. I think my carbon filter is dying, I am getting a faint smell outside. Very faint but i was able to notice it. Doesn't make it far tho. Gonna change out the filter tomorrow.

Here is a shot of the new boys and girls that will be taking their place in the garden in the coming weeks. Currently vegging under a qb65 and looking very good. The amount of growth is startling compared to what I was getting out of that dome with the included led tube (low wattage). The difference is awesome.

In that picture there is a mixture of 5 Arise and 5 Pure Love from Irie Genetics. (Labeled on the cups)

Just transplanted the arise and pure love plants tonight. They were left in the solo cups too long and were getting sad. Found some fungi in the bed as well as a ton of red wigglers from my vermicompost I have been top dressing with.

The Silver Mtn and Strawberry-banana were all chopped and are drying. Temps are about 55-60 F and RH is about 50-60.

Well its been two weeks, so we are due for an update.

Today I introduced another order of the predator mites to combat some spider mites that showed up again the other day. The plants are growing nicely and I am flipping to flower today.

On another note, the Strawberry Grape Banana phenos both taste very much alike. I did find it pretty cool that the name of the strain matched the taste you get at the beginning of your hit. Quite literally tastes like a strawberry banana smoothie. The Silver Mountain also turned out nicely and gives me a taste of lemon mint? Either way they both smell amazing and I am very happy about the results. I haven't finished dry trimming (taking it slow) but it is looking like a 1lb grow! I am currently sitting at 8 oz off 1.5 of the plants, and the last box of material is larger than the one before it, so I am expecting to reach the 1 lb mark or at least close to it. Not bad considering I had to cut 1/4 of the plants out before flowering out.

Thumbs up...
Thanks man!

Time for an updated pic. The other day I went in and committed some genocide to all the males. Time constraints (moving) prohibited me from having time to sex and then plant into the bed, so everyone went in together and while it will hurt overall yield, I will have something to hold me over for a little bit while I get the next grow ready in my new home.

I have also been top watering more often to keep the top inch or so moist. I am finding it is helping much more than just having the bottom watering method. I am going to be getting blumats for my next run.

So we have beaten the spider mites with our predator mites. No more damage being shown even on the leaves closer to the ground level that first were affected.

We have 1 arise and 2 pure love plants in the bed. The Arise is getting huge, has a serious stretch. Was not ready for it and didn't put the scrog down for this grow. Now I am forced to super crop a little bit. I'll post some pics later

So I haven't updated in a while, my phone camera died and I forgot to continue updating. So for catch-up:

Last days photos of arise and pure love. A trimmed up nug. I harvested a little bit early again as I was preparing to move and had to close shop for a home inspection.

In a new location and starting up again. I plan on building a sealed shed in the future and already bought most of the equipment I will be using. Plans are made, won't happen until tax time though. In the meantime, I have re-purposed a room to continue growing in my 5x5 tent. I also set up a 2x2x5 ebb&flow system to have fun and possibly breed/create seeds in the future. I am using GH nutes and have a HLG Q135 R-Spec in there. Going big on the HLG boards this time around.

I also upgraded my tent a little bit. I now have a 550w R-Spec HLG Quantum Board instead of the CMH lights. The watering system has changed as well. Instead of the SIP type system I was using, I will now use blumats to keep the soil moist. I found the top most inches were dry and that is kind of opposite of what I am after in cultivating microbes in my soil.

Currently I have 3 plants in the hydro: Fem Aurora Indicas (can't remember seed company, I'll look it up.) and I am germinating 11 reg silver mountains to put in the tent.

Alright so consider this a new journal. I have finished my outdoor grow shed (∆ Outdoor Shed Conversion ∆) The last cycle was run in a poorly insulated room, where I ran a simple exhausted tent and a small 2x2 ebb and flow. Found out I do not like hydro. It was honestly too much with the measuring and emptying the res, etc. I ran it to completion as much as I could though. The plants outgrew their space super fast, and I wasn't ready for the speed of hydro growing. In the end I got a ton of larfy bud. The silver mountains that were in the tent never completed.

I had to tear down the tent to allow electricians into the room to work on the panel. I moved a single plant to a closet and revegged it. From there I took 10 clones, with the plan on keeping at least 4. Those 4 have now been planted in the bed that is now in my grow shed.

Dimensions: 9.5ft x 12 ft x 7 ft.
The shed is fully sealed with closed cell spf. Inside is a 9k btu minisplit, titan ares 2 burner CO2 gen, 70pt dehuey, and 2 HLG 500 V2. Grow space is about 8 x 4, 4x4 of which is a planter bed. I have another planter bed I will set up in the future. For now I'll use pots around the bed.

Things I have already learned, ppm up is for using a co2 gen on my controller (autopilot eclipse f90). I was in the room for a little while and the co2 jumped to about 2500+. I turned the controller to "ppm down".... left the room and came back to the co2 ppm at 8000 with the gen not turning off. Turned it back, aired out the room, and it came back down. I currently have it set to 800 ppm. Planning on vegging for 2 or 3 weeks depending on how fast stuff grows and then flipping. I'll put my extra clones into the pots as they show enough roots.

So I flipped to flower on June 21 and it's been going good. I set up my rain capture system and it is hooked up to my blumats. 110 gal gravity feed for the blumats now. I added 2 predator mite species and some nematodes a few weeks ago and have not seen any pests nor found them on my sticky cards. I keep the room at 1200 co2 ppm, 82°f and 65% rh for my controller but find the room sits at about 78-80° and 66% during the day and stays that way through the night with the humidity dropping to 58%.

It is still a 4x4 scrog over 4 plants in a 4x4 planter bed.

I also put some (11 reg) Lemon wookie by Bodhi in water for next cycle. Starting them early so I can go to flower again quickly.

if there is ever a question or comment, please send them my way. Otherwise, here are couple finishing pictures. Growing Lemon Wookie next (most likely), maybe GDP.

Grow finished up, chopped at day 71

From the picture, the burner unit appears to say "ares 4 LP"...
