Hello everyone!
I have a problem with my DWC. Namely, when I mix all the fertilizers and set the ph to 5.8, after 4/5 h the ph jumps to 6.3 / 6.4. I lower it with the ph down preparation (literally a few drops are enough) and the ph returns to 5.8. then after 4 hours the ph again jumps to 6.4 or higher ... I use canna aqua series fertilizers and standing tap water.
please help!

Do you let your water sit out with a bubbler in it?

I don't, I just poor it in. My ph rises for 2 or 3 days and I lower it. Then it stabilizes.

I also have some issues with evaporation so my ec rises over time.

Totally normal, you may be pushing too much air.Dont sweat it.Give it a few days.

my pump pumps 1l / min of air and my dwc is 8 liters, could that be the reason?
Bigger pumps will cause ph to rise. Don’t worry about it after a couple of days it will settle down. What you can do is prepare your next batch ahead of time. This way when you change the water it will be buffered already. Again. No big deal. Mine does the same wait 24 hrs adjust again and don’t check it. Just say to yourself its fine. Lol. Good luck

it sounds good, but if I change the water once a week, and my fertilizer mixture will adjust to the ph for e.g. 4 days, won't this ph fluctuation affect the final result?:weed:

Dont change the water so often, you can change out half so that ph may stay more stable.I run rdwc change nutes every month or so.In dwc a small plant clone can go 3 weeks just add nutes in top up water.

I have a reverse osmosis water filter, my tap water had chlorine and chlorine in it, ph about 8.7. The garden hose water filter is good for 45000 yes 45000 gallons of awesome water that registers no chlorine and ph goes about to 6.0. But without filter I would mix water and nutrients first. Then wait 6 hrs and level off ph. When I use to try to just mix nutrients and ph same time it just didn't work for me. My plants like it when water is stabilized for 24hrs first. The filter connects directly to water hose. Cost bout 60.00 on amazon.
