Eating raw cannabis

Today I had a plant that’s about 1 week from harvest fall right over. I tried a raw flower that fell off. I’m surprised by the effects, feels a little like cbd but it’s a thc only plant. No high obviously. The biggest effect was my joints feel airy, light and I feel a great deal of relief from inflammation. Anyone else have this experience? Makes me think the plant can have dual purpose.

Best medicinal and functional effect is what you get from eating raw plant matter in acid form in terms of pain management and inflammation. That's why Big Pharma been trying to stop the cultivation for centuries.

Cannabis is a medicinal food crop first of all, recreational second if you look at written literature and history.

It was the raw acid that provided relief. I don’t know why that isn’t pushed more in the medical marijuana side. I feel like they are missing the boat on this. At no point in time did they ever mention thca and cbda being good at treating inflammation and pain. They are missing out on making the plant legitimate to the masses and instead focussing on from a rec perspective

Yeah. I just read something on the benefits of the acids. I do oils for ingestion so I was considering on my next go round to throw in some raw weed at the end.

I like to take everything from my defoliation sessions and juice it with some apples, carrots and ginger. It is certainly good relief for my aches and pains. :D

Probably. I decarb in MCT oil so adding to that is how I was gonna do it.
I always used to decarb in oil, but there’s a bunch of websites out there that says you should decarb it first then infuse it. Seems like an unnecessary step but I’ve been decarbing it in a sealed mason jar in the instant pot then infusing in instant pot. It works both ways just not sure it’s different

Everything pretty much goes into my oil except stems. If the jar isn't too full you can use an immersion blender to chop it all up pretty fine. Then you can use the oil and sediment separetly. I'll scoop out the solids from the bottom for cooking.

I remember watching a documentary on weed years ago prior to recreational legalization and they had a medical doctor that said the best benefits from marijuana come from eating the whole plant. I can't remember the exact break down since it's been so long but basically saying cannabinoids are more plentiful and easier to absorb that way.
Not to get high but for every day health purposes, like eat a weed salad. I wish I could remember the documentary or better yet the name of the doctor. Interesting stuff for sure.

I just got an instapot. Odor control is an issue. Does the oil + instapot make a difference? Seems like the oil would help contain vapors.

If using a sealed mason jar in the instapot it doesn’t smell at all during cook/infusion. Only minor smell when you open the cooled down mason jar. This also preserves all cannabinoids and terpenes.

Makes me want to grow a plant for just raw purposes. I’ve eaten raw leaves in the past, some are pretty acrid/sour and others more palatable. Something I’d be willing to try anyways.

I've tried them as well. Some aren't bad. Maybe the next time I use trim in edibles I'll use it whole in a dish as a sort of green and try it out. Might be good with pasta.

It’ll be like picking up a bag of spinach at the store, but going to the grow room instead. Makes me think into the future where a strain is genetically selected for taste to commercialize for health food or grocery stores, could be onto something??

Just make sure to use the trivet or something similar to keep the mason off the bottom.

I do the same thing with the blender so the capsules are uniform.
