Espoma plant tone

I have this thread in the organic section too but I need a response soon cuz i wanna mix the soil today if I gotta let it sit for a few weeks. I'm new to growing organic, i've done some reading on espoma plant tone that it is a pretty good mix in soil fert so I ordered some along with the espoma potting soil. I'm wondering how much should I mix into the soil I'll be growing in 3 gallon smart pots indoors under a 400w HPS. I'll be using the tomato tone for flowering too. Should I let it sit aka cook for a few weeks before replanting into it so it's not so hot?

Hey brah, I use Espoma Plant-tone regularly and I have not found it to be hot. Just follow the directions on the bag and you should be fine. I've never had a problem with it burning my plants even when mixed fresh. I haven't used Espoma potting soil though so I don't know how much stuff, if any, the preload the soil with. And I'd agree that it's a good all around fertilizer, I get good results with it and I use it all the way through flower even with a rotation of other organic fertilizers.

Oh recall you don't let it cook? People are telling I should so it won't burn my plants. I'm thinking I'll use like half a cup or 3/4 cup for 3 gallons of soil. How much do you use?

I have never let my soil cook using Plant-tone. And a cup per sq. ft. is soil is the recommended application rate, so just a little under half a cup of Espoma for a 3 gallon pot and then top dress once a month with recommend rate that on the bag. It's very easy fertilizer to work with.
