Curious to see if the stems thicken up enough to support a large buds. It's in a 3 gallon smart pot.

Before trimming off the last 4 fan leaves from the previous 'level'.

Today after trimming.

The stem will thicken up. Curious as to why you would trim off the leaves when currently you don't have many.

Eh. I trimmed them because since it's not an auto I can give it time to recover and it was just more peace of mind having all the trimming done for now instead of having to do it later. Plus they weren't the best leaves and I got blood meal powder on them that wouldn't brush off. Lol

Keep some leaves next time. It will recover but to me it's always good to give your plant a hair cut once it's older. When are you going to train your plant? Pulling them down and stuff

Well I saw a lot of people were training the first branches down to forming almost a "T" with the main stem/trunk and then I read about it splitting with heavier weight so I left the Main support. Structure as compact and upright as possible to keep the weight distributed in a way that won't pull each side away from the middle as much.

Going to to probably use a tomato supporter to hold the 16 rips seperate and in a circle soon tho once each new top gets to be about 6" and movable while being strong enough to not snap with a tiny movement of my hand lol. It's too symmetrical to screw up now lmaooo

If inside 8 tops has been found to be best more sometimes means less bud.....

be careful of stem splitting.....when two weeks into 12/12 run a line of gardening string from one branch to the opposing branch (so they pull against each other......

leave all fan leafs it don't look pritty but the buds will love you....

and good luck man you'll love it....

Was debating on the number of tops. I can't see how it would hurt to have more as long as they are all getting light and the pot is big enough, BUT I did want to ask if anyone had any experience with 8vs16. Otherwise a scrog with 50+ tops, like some have made with one plant, would be useless no?
