Exhaust outside? I got a question!

Ok so I can tell already this FC4800 light & driver get HOT. I got an AC Infinity 6" inline & I'm going to need to exhaust outside this summer.

A friend told me they make things that look nice, like squares that fit inside the window, to attach ducting to for exhausting.

What are those things called & what are you personally using? Thanks!! :D

Are you in a room, or basement or what? if you will need an ac just get and ac and expel into the room, if not they are the window flanges that come with portable ac units

Ok so a 5" coupler, i could attach my 6" ducting over that & then just use that metal strap thingy to tighten up?

I like this one with two 5.9" holes. I've always exhausted into the house but with this setup could I do an intake and exhaust maybe? Or would having the two that close together be a bad idea as your intake is contaminated by the exhaust? I'd just do the intake side at lights out as my room gets closed up and sealed at lights out and the only air then is from the central heat or AC. With an intake I could switch on a 6" intake fan on low to bring in fresh air and not worry as much about running the whole house system just to bring air into the grow room. Anybody think it's a bad idea to run both so close together or am I overthinking it. I have two windows in the grow room so I could put the intake on the other side of the room but both together seems much simpler light leak wise and every other way I think of.

I'm thinking about the same thing, one exhaust port for the tent & another for a portable AC.

I like to dump my air into the room around my tent just so I'm the first one to smell it if my filter fails. I exhaust a 12000 btu ac thru a window bracket just like that tho, works great

I use 540 watts in a 4x4 I just feed into same room not outside. It gets 120° during summer months I don't have an issue. Tent stays under 82. Most of the year its between 74 and 78. I do have both my grow rooms pretty much blacked out preventing alot of the sun heat from entering room. Also run a 8in inline fan in 4x4, it usually doesn't exceed 4 on power. A 6in work's fine but will have to work harder for the same effect.

If you can run an AC in the room, just place the driver on top, and adjust your ducting to blow on the driver unit itself. This is how I have mine set up. Same light in a 4x4. The driver will run at 75-100% and you won’t be able to tell it’s on when you place your hand on it.
I also intake from the same room. If need be, I use a window to bring in fresh air via a powered duct/fan.391583CA-C607-4D94-99FB-234EFCEBEAC2.jpeg14B02683-697A-4B6C-9546-D7F5332A47C7.jpeg
