This is day 63 of flowering on a strain that requires 55-60 (super skunk). Attached you will see pics of trich developement as well as the plant pics. I'm sure the one plant is ready, however, the other looks ready, but at the top colas there are plenty of new white pistils starting. Should I chop em down now? Trichs look like there are mostly cloudy and the pistils are about 60%-70% turned. This is my first grow. Thanks for looking.

If those were my buds, they'd be in the pipe by now. Yeppers, they are ready ... chop, chop.

Nice pruning job, by the way.

Thanks for the responses guys. I will be cutting them at the end of their light cycle 2 nite. As for the setup- I used a 400W MH through veg and 400W HPS through flower. Started with 4 plants and had 2 males. Topped the monster that you see and the other I stressed by putting her into flower in order to sex her. I learned from my lesson and will take clones in the future. Tried the CO2 setup about half-way into flowering and was never sure about how many ppms I had. After spraying with CO2 for about 2 weeks, I accidently set my timer on always on and wasted the rest of the tank. Oops. So, I will keep you updated on the weight and again.............................thanks for the response. I would have probably waited a few more days

Hello PUPPET

picture perfect plant.. text book... very few people get the entire plant to turn into a giant bud.. requires light to be able to penetrate beyond the canopy...

very nice

Tell me! How did you get the popscicle effect? I have been wanting to learn how to grow popscicles! Yours are the first I have seen that even resembles them. I'm wow-ed. Tell your secrets!

Toka-I'm not quite sure what you mean by popsicles. I can tell you that I topped this plant thus causing her to develope 4 main colas. So maybe using this method gave her the 'popsicle' size buds that you see...........and want:blsmoke:

ps. Also, due to impatience I quick dried a bottom nug and put her in the microwave for about 30 sec. Suprisingly crispy, I then stuffed her in a gravity bong and pulled 2 hits. Very smooth and a stupified stone for several hours. I was impressed at the quality and price of super skunk. Next I am trying white widow and northern lights grown hydroponically. So I will need help throughout.......

there is nothing wrong with trying the product to see how it is. would you buy a car if you did not test drive it? I am just trying to justify my actions also, I do it to. lol

Well, the final weight of my two super skunk ladies is......................3.14oz. Those big colas looked a little heavier, but man do they shrink. After 4 days of hanging, the buds felt a little crispy on the outside. Ready for curing, I misted them lightly with water and stored in a rubbermaid type container and that seemed to soften them up a little.

Misted them with water? Hold the phone, Houston, we've got a problem.

That is a very bad thing to do. If I were you, I would remove them from the container and dry for another day. Those buds are still wet inside, and you want to seal them up to "sweat out" the moisture. When they are crispy on the outside, seal them and the moisture will equalize throughout the bud. Then when you open and feel them, and smell for mold, the air changes in the box, and the process starts over.

Wet buds sealed up will mold, and be ruined.

lol Are you not drying them? Why rewet them? Never do that you could end up with moldy buds. Man just take a cardboard box and run some string through it and hang dry them in your box untill the stems snap not just bend. This method will slow dry your buds and makes them nice and smooth. then when the stem snap seal in jars. But never store wet buds in a sealed container!

Wow, I had no idea. Thanks guys. I misted them and only planned on keeping them in the container for several hours. Now I have them out of the container and there are no signs of mold. How would I know if there was mold present? They smell and feel fine although the long colas have a different smell to them.
