Ez cloner cuttings getting slimy

Been using aero cloners for 15 years man, long before there were any for sale to the public. But I’m sure you have more experience than that. And if you read directions put out by cloner manufacturers they state high 70’s - 80 is ideal for rooting. Warmer temps increase the speed of rooting, this is the most basic and well know aspect of rooting cuttings. Here’s some pics from my last run. First one is 6 days, 10 days planted. They've been on sale for at least 22 years, I know because I bought one 22 years ago.

I definitely dont remember them around at that time but that was a long time ago, only ones i saw was the diy build on overgrow. Im sure they were for sale somewhere but back then if your local hydro shop didn't have something you were out of luck. And to the other posts yes some strains will pop super easy and quick and others may take 2 weeks to pop a nub or 2.

I believe it was general hydroponics who first released the ez-cloner which was quickly copied on OG. I remember modeling mine after OG user DCyans.

It's simply your water temps, ph of 6.8-7.0 is fine also.

After bleach then run hot water through it, get all the bleach out.

Your misters should never get clogged if everything is kept clean.
Thanks so much for all this info. I just made a rookie mistake, and I’m freakin’ 25 years NOT a rookie. Just had an enormous slime build up in my rez in just 6 days. Clones were fine, green, stable just 3 days in but went to see a few days later and clones were all wilted, still green tho. I started using a FOOP cloning gel which works well. However, having a couple tablespoons of my old Clonex solution, like a complete idiot, I poured it in my rez. Wrong, wrong, wrong thing to do. Just left from cleaning it completely out and pump is working again. I thought I had burned up the lil pump because it wouldn’t hold pressure once built. And it sounded like there was a rod knocking in it . I immediately re dipped my clones in FOOP and put in Happy Frog soil under constant light. However, after I started cleaning everything and disassembled the pump, header, and tips and cleaned. Along with the rez. Once I hit pump to working I had two clones left in top of cloner so I re dipped those and stated the cloner back up. Jeez, what an evening. I likely just killed all my clones which is really gonna suck. 12th generation Marza I Shariff and 12th generation Blue dream. About 2 years work. I hope not. I’m going back tomorrow and apply what I’m learning in this thread. Thanks again mate.

That sucks charlie, I hope you can save your plants!

To prevent this in the future 6ml/gal of Hygrozyme in the cloner or res will prevent that from happening.
