Well all I'm saying is that if you added silica and the PH went down, then your PH meter is broke.

Rhino skin is somewhere around 9.8ph and silica blast is upwards of ten.

But I get it, it's ok for you to come out and tell me my advice and experience is "wrong" but I don't get the chance to explain that it's a common and actually pretty damn good practice.

But anyways...just for shits and giggles...

LF - I have spent plenty of time on the thcfarmer threads for UC. I also started in hydro.
I have SEEN a dispensary grow pull 3.75# under one light with my own eyes. And guys
like that, don't let you just come in and photograph their setups just so you can satisfy
someone calling "bullshit" on you on online forums.

I know plenty of UC grows that have gone sideways. I am merely relating that *in my experience*
with my "piddly little setup" if you spend money on the right equipment you should have very little problems.
Sorry I don't have more money/space to have a big enough setup right now for people to find my observations valid.

Old post I know, but was hoping to go media-less and was wondering what size you grow your plants to? I grow HygroHybrid style and end up with 2lbs dry bud off a plant so while it is growing these plants are heavy even before they end up in the Scrog nets that will eventually take up the weight. My net pots are all mangled and the tension/pressure in the shared hydroton root zone is incredible sometimes so I'm sure there is a detriment using this media.

I’ve been eying these media-less pot lids but idk how much they’ll cost. Stopped caring since it took too long for him to push out. They’re for Current culture size net pots I think so 2lb plants would probably work better vs 2” collars/pots
