Fallponics vs Under Current

Hello!
I am not even sure if I used the names correctly, but I am about to build a 6 plant rdwc system very soon... I have come across 2 types of designs, one of which is the very common type that I believe is called "under current", where all the flow is sucked back into the main reservoir and later pushed from there to the plant buckets, such as this (imagine 6 ):

And the other is "fallponics", where the water is sucked FROM the main reservoir and pushed to each plant bucket from the top, like this:

Now with the fallponics system I apparently will have to add a valve as seen in the picture because the water pumped from the reservoir splits to 2 vs 4 buckets from the connection and the 2's side has a faster flow if not corrected with the valve.

The fallponics will have more aerated water as it will have a waterfall in each bucket but I'm afraid will also cause a lot of noise which might get frustrating after a while (although the system will obviously be in a seperate room).

Do any of you guys see any advantages/disadvantages of building one or the other of these systems? The usual under current one seems to be simpler and good enough but if the fallponics would have an obvious better outcome, I will definitely go for it...

What do you say?
The reason why I liked Gary's design was the water return hoses have to be same length and he has that valve in there to make sure all buckets are getting the same amount of flow back to them selfs .....so same amounts of nutrients that's important. On current culture the buckets with the plants closest to reservoir get all nutrients 1st .......I personally think Gary's is better design

I just got the fallponics system and built it like the current culture system in a straight line. I have air stones in each nd I also put PAH bottom drain system in it. I just got clones in it and have haze it running for about a week. I love it set up this way and the buckets all stay level. I did a ton of research on both these systems and have asked both the companies a ton of questions so ask away and I'll help as much as I can.
Thats ace fella, have you got some drawing of it so I can understand it better?

It's the same set up in the pictures on my post on page one. I think you "liked" it awhile back. You must have forgot you've seen it already. It's the fallponics built like the under current

Yeah, it's just quite hard to make out some photos. My idea which I think is the same is to have an air diffuser ring in each pot and also either have a large lump in the header tank which goes to each pot with a venture injector. Either that or im going to follow yours and not use Venturi and just have the water pump doing the same but have 3 outlets for each pot in like a T junction from the main line.

What size water pump would you recommend if each pot is 40-50 litres and the header is the same also so roundabout 400 litres in the system plus the pot connectors at around 60 litres so around 450 litres in total (plus res). For the waterfall with 3 nozzles on each (18 nodes) what size hole did you use?

Cheers

My system with the reservoir is a total of 20 gallons connected together with 3-in PVC pipe from the reservoir to the end bucket and then it reduces down to 1 in pipe and goes the length of the system back and waterfalls into the reservoir after going through a water chiller. I found this system very easy to maintain and clean because most of the parts I can stick my hand in with a brush. The only one that I can't is the 1-in return line which is black flexible pipe so it doesn't get algae from the light.
When I clean between grows I feel the system up throw a half a cup of bleach in it let it run for a couple days and then drain it and fill it two or three times to rinse it out.
I always start one plant in a 5 gallon bucket in a separate box as the mother plant and clone off of it to fill the tent. I run a cycle about every 90 to 110 days depending on the strain.
