Federal Government Acknowledges Medicinal Benefits of Cannabis!

There's idiots in our government claiming that legalization won't work even though across the blue, Portugal decriminalized all drugs and have seen a drop in drug use rates altogether, and HUGE decreases in use of hard drugs. Amsterdam also has some of the lowest use rates of hard drugs in the world, and an average rate of marijuana usage even though its like the stoner's version of the holy land. Our politicians are literally resorting to dumb comments that it simply won't work here without any reasons as to why legalization or decriminalization would be a bad thing (also known as the "nanananalalalalala I can't hear you" defense).

Just waiting for the uptight pricks running things in DC die off or finally tell big pharma to go fuck themselves. Like there aren't enough things that pot doesn't help with for them to profit off of .

Realistically I see legalization (or at least national decriminalization) happening. Will it happen in 5 years? Fuck no. 10? Possibly. Before my ass is dead? I hope so.

Even more realistically, who gives a fuck? The only people that benefit from decriminalization are highschoolers and college kids who live in dorms. I have my own house I'll go rub my balls on the windows while smoking a joint and singing the fuckin wiggles soundtrack at the top of my lungs and not give two fucks. Sure, lighting up in public would be super when I have a bad migraine or my back/knee flare up, but really when it comes down to it I'm never more than a short car ride from my home and lighting up a big bowl of some stanky dank so the DEA can kiss my ass.

There are places here in America where that rainwater belongs to the state and you are not allowed to collect it. However you could also say we are on the verge of becoming a third world country with an oligarchy of self entitled arseholes in charge. Can you say world wide communism?

Hate to rain on the parade, but the NCI has retracted their original endorsement and changed the text to indicate that Dr's that treat cancer patients may prescribe marijuana solely for symptom control... They removed the reference to cannabis fighting tumors...

Ugh, I think about that too. Working on getting off grid in the mountains of Tenn or North Carolina or some where else, heck maybe South America. At least in S.A. they are kinder to senior citizens.

And who hasn't been touched by cancer? How dare they!!! My Grandmother died of early onset breast cancer, my mother died of ovarian cancer, my father has skin cancer. 5 other of my friends have died of cancers, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, 2 brain tumors.
ANYTHING that shows promise needs....no..... MUST.... to be used to fight tumors of any kind. Dammit if I get cancer I'm definitely leaving this country

This is why I will not watch mr 'high all mighty' (Obama) when he takes over almost every channel on the television in order to make a "speech". The man is not worth the shit hes made up of.. IMO.

You see by Patenting it, they now can make money on it via license rights or lease. So I would expect it to be somehwhat quazi legal soon. Only because of that fact. Eli Lilly would fight this forever as they dont have the patent for it. Hence the money to fight against it.

yeah, it's complicated. Pharma wants the patents on the chemicals produced out of canna so they can profit and don't forget GMO's. At the same time keeping the weed patented, just like Monsanto and Conagra have done with corn, wheat and soybeans. This is goin to end up being a nightmare. Seed Banks will come under fire for selling seeds collected from patented plants and find themselves fighting a battle in in the courtrooms against those giants and so on.........
