FedEx

Just wanted to say FedEx has to be the worst delivery service out of all the choices. UPS and USPS both mange to deliver their packages early, yet FedEx is 3 days late. I'll never use FedEx if I had the choice!

It would be interesting to see if the delivery companies have been doing anything different during this pandemic. I would gladly wait 3 days for a new 'back massager' and their employees be safe.

Mostly the same. Huge upswing in residential. At first they bought clothes and small shit. Then they started to buy furniture. So far today it is stuff for outdoors, swingsets, gardening stuff. Businesses mostly closed - except the Amish. The driver's don't have a lot of contact with residential but we have eliminated signatures and have them write Covid-19. But the loaders are too close to each other. We can't get masks bit I am working on them. Every week I go to the drug stores for alcohol.

I get here two hours early now to wipe the whole joint down with it. I can't trust the cleaning staff.

Yeah I feel bad for the person who gets my chewy order I tend to order food for a couple months at a time for my pups. I worry for these guys if it stays on cardboard for a while, passing that around tossing it into a truck with a bunch of other boxes to be delivered really seems like the government could have stepped up and gotten them all gloves/masks/smocks for the service people/hospitals right away.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a FedEx package arrive on time. I have a package that was supposed to arrive last Thursday, that got pushed to Friday for no reason. It went on the truck Friday morning at 6am, about 15 miles from my house, and never left the parking lot. The tracking updated to “Delivery not attempted” and now it’s supposed to arrive today. It’s supposed to be windy today so I’m just expecting it to get pushed another day or two for “weather delay”.

I have another package coming UPS that was scheduled to arrive tomorrow that I just got a notification for saying it will arrive today.

If any of you are waiting on deliveries from FedEx then I would suggest you call them immediately. I just called them about my package, asked why it still shows as on the truck for delivery, but hasn't moved. The woman asked if my address was residential, or a business, and told me that they have been just holding packages until they know if it is a residence and/or if the house is "in quarantine". I told her it would be nice if they actually called me to confirm, or looked up the address on a friggin map to see it's clearly a house. She said she has flagged my packages as being clear for delivery so I should receive it in the next 24-48 hours.

My fedex friend drives long haul and they’re starting to be furloughed.
ahh the much coveted furlough all of the joys of no job no money but they want to have the right to call you back..great if you can afford their exorbitant health insurance and have it.

just get your shit through Amazon almost every vendor that you buy from is on there and you get it 48..sometimes 24.

regarding the quarantine thingy..WTF? they just drop and ring anyway, have you had a FedEx delivery lately wait for your to get to the door..hellllll no!

and if they need a signature? we haven't been doing them for a month already..'just give me your name' and it gets typed in now and Fedex has been typing them in for years so I don't get the quarantine excuse..

He’s early retirement age however that idea went down the drain after losing 500k in stocks. He told them if they were going to furlough him, to not bother calling. Dude’s been there forever.

Amazon has been crazy. Wife ordered some soap and a few other similar items, toothpaste (though they are out) soap, hand lotion, etc.

It has been showing up piece by piece. We got small deliveries Friday through Easter Sunday. Just bizarre. Two boxes show up one evening. Each has a bottle of identical lotion One has a puffy plastic thing, the other doesn't. If you take out the puffy plastic thing, both bottles fit in the same box.

I wonder why this happens. Especially being shipped start to finish in their own delivery network.

Tons of groceries being sent right now. Lots of Sam's Club. They don't know how to pack shit and their boxes spring open due to overloading or bad tape. There are dozens of leakers daily - about 300% more than usual.
