I know c99 has had smoke reports before prolly a lot but someone in the texas thread asked me to do one and I thought I'd repost here in case anyone finds it helpful
View attachment 2645672C99 smoke report
Strain: female seeds c99
Growth: 8weeks veg 42-45 days flower
Nutes: supersoil and gh flora series in late flower (micro and bloom only) 1/2 strength
Yield: 2 phenos one stretchier lower yields other about 2 oz per
Bag Appeal: 7- not a lot of crystals but still very sticky decent smell broke up nicely
Smell: very low odor strain while growing and even after a long cure.. Grapefruity slight pineapple mostly earthy
Taste: earthy pineapple taste real smooth smoke taste wasn't my favorite
The High: not really energetic but pretty trippy talkative type of weed but you can smoke and smoke zero couchlock
Comments:I'm not really a sativa guy but this was a nice strain even tho I won't grow bc of personal tastes I was lookin for something more energetic but this was def 100% sativa pretty trippy mind racing talkative weed sat around and smoked bowl after bowl with a very very experienced grower and he complimented it so I felt good about that View attachment 2645654View attachment 2645655View attachment 2645661View attachment 2645663View attachment 2645671

45 days flower for sativa must have been premature. Prob needs 9 weeks or more. Imo. Thats why you can smoke and smoke no couch lock, if u feel high now try going at least 9 weeks flower. Im impressed with how it looks ats 45. Might have to try that c99.

Dude its done from week 8 as its a sativa its best to chop earlier.,
But if you like the style you mentioned instead take her to 9-1/2 10 weeks she is awsome night time stuff then, well its great all around

if you go past 52 days you lose the trippiness that c99 is famous for...if you want couchlock grow something else

I chopped a LITTLE early. But did it on purpose. I was satisfied but I wouldnt go past 50 days with this strain or it kinda defeats the purpose of havin a fast flowering sativa for me anyways

Daytime meds on the left night time on the right... Kind of a challenge right there... This wasn't my main graw area tho was
Just an experiment

2 oz with an 8 week veg was not your lower yielding pheno?

IMO, you dont control the high by harvesting early or late. Harvesting early means you havent let your plant reach its maximum potential in terms of THC/trichome production. Harvesting late means you past that point. Harvest when the plant is ripe. No earlier, no later. If you want an "energetic" high, grow a strain with that trait. Same for "couchlock".

Sorry. Had to say that.

I am growing 4 female seeds C99 now. Just went to 12/12 a day ago. These plants vegged for around 2 months and they are massive. I would be disappointed with 2oz per plant. Thought I read that C99 was a decent producer...

I can't believe a hybrid finished in 42 days. I look forward to seeing it for myself.

Believe or think as you wish but if you go past 52 days it will not possess the high quality visual psychedelic effects Cindy is famous for. As long as the capitate stalked trichomes are full it is ready. Even cloudiness indicates the beginning of thc degradation. And CBN will totally mess up any high IMO

My buddy grew some Female Seeds C99, and I thought it was some beautiful looking bud. It was frosty as all get out! The smell was very tropical, and so was the taste. The buzz was pretty trippy with no couchlock. I personally did not care for it, but I can see where some people would. It seems to be a pretty stable plant from most of the reports that I have read.

52 days you mean from flip or from first pistils? also how many days you think that would be if started from seed 12/12?

my first c99 i harvested after 55 days from flip, it was slightly trippy, but main effects were - 0 couchlock, chest fills with joyfull energy and you just wanna laugh a lot, clear mind, so i do not forget sentences i speak, also incredible hunger, very social weed, lasts about 3 hours for me.. perfect weed, even non smoking ladies of my friends exceptionally toke on my cindy.. BUT yesterday something happened.. i had my buds container in my bar, which is dark and room temp and i run out of it, i also put like 7 grams in a transparent bottle as decoration in the kitchen, so i started using that weed, after a few tokes as always i got that joyfull energetic laughing feeling, but it hit me harder this time, cause it came to my head with stone, and lasted over 4 hours, my wife got couchlock, and my friend also got really stoned. i wonder if this is the case when on a light warm environment in 3 months thc degraded into cbn? it did not get direct light and temps were ~75F..

Flowering begins at the flip. Not when first pistils appear. So yes 52 from flip. It was a transparent bottle so time and light cause some degradation of thc and thcv.

I thought that noticeable thc or thcv degradation is more in years, not in months.. well next time I will know :)

but would C99 12/12 from seed reach the same potency level at the day 52 as well as e.g. 4-5 weeks vegged C99?

no young plants ever match old plants in terms of potency IME...but extending the flower time on this strain hurts its quality

So anyone else harvest this cindy 42-45 days after flower? Not for anything other than growing my own in the near future. I love sativas but was always under the impression they required longer flower regardless of what breeder info said.

Have smoked it before and was always imlpressed.

How long does it normally take to finish flowering?

7-8 weeks

It is a sat/indie hybrid that kept the amazing trippy sat high although its flowering time is indie short
