I currently switched to FFOF after using Roots Organic and it ruining a whole grow a couple months ago. my question though is how soon should I feed using this soil? I kno it has nutes in it already but it seems like after a week in the 1gal pots they're already hungry...petoiles turnin red and purple...I'm doing a poor man's grow in the bathroom and the temp fluctuates from poor insulation. could that have something to do with it? I kno cold temps can lockout nutes, maybe thats whats going on....

I'm veggin under a 2 bulb T5. I'll be using 1Tbsp Mexican Bat Guano, .5 Tbsp molasses and 1/4 Tsp humic acid (got it off ebay, prolly aint real lol) every 2 weeks. I'm thinkin maybe up the dose cause I cant afford a ppm/ec meter right now and thats probaly what I need to get a correct dose. also I should start taking notes to remember how much I do give til I can afford such expensive but useful equipment...:-|

should I post pics?

you can start feeding after they are fully rooted imo. So a foot a gallon, start seeing some roots in the bottom holes, ect. Just start every other watering or every third with nutes at 25-50%. Slowly increase.
very slow increase ease them into it
I have heard a month worth of nutes in that soil. But id say if its under hid and they grow fast, more like 2-3 weeks.

I've used FFOF for my last couple of grows, and this is what I've found as far as initial feedings:

1st Grow: Vegged for 1.5 months. Watered with a mild AACT at the end of weeks 2 and 4. End of week 6 added a bit more hefty AACT. Flowered for 10-12 weeks after. During the flowering period continued with the more hefty AACT and also added a couple of treatments of Epsoma\EWC topsoil dressing.

2nd Grow: Same thing as first, but I've added a myco\humic acid AACT blend at week 2.

For both grows, seedlings were added to 5 gal pots.

Mild AACT
1 gal rainwater
1 cup EWC
1\2 tbsp molasses
1\4 cap maxicrop liquid kelp

"Hefty" AACT
1 gal rainwater
1 cup EWC
1 tbsp molasses
1 cap maxicrop liquid kelp
1 tbsp guano (diff guano for last veg then flowering formula)

Bottom line, I think the FFOF is fine for the first 1 month without anything but water - if they are in bigger pots. I do like to start the microbe boosting early in the process though.
