Hey guys, after quite some time I finally bit the bullet and ordered some seeds online. Got some new420guy gear. I currently have one of the True Purple Haze autos going in my 18"x18"x60" cabinet with a 135w LED. She will be 4 weeks as of Sunday 6/28 Started showing pistils about a week ago.20200626_125637.jpg
I did do a little LST as I'm sure you can tell. This has been a fun grow so far, this is my first run with an auto so we'll see what happens 20200626_125644.jpg
Happy Grows Guys ✌

Alright guys, so I had a bit of a mishap a day or two after I posted. Basically I was trying to adjust the tie I had on the main cola and it snapped off. I barely even pushed on it. I am a bit bummed as I know this will affect the final yield but my girl has bounced back pretty well. I just upgraded my grow space and lighting again. I've now got her in a 4x2x5 tent with a 250w(actual watts) LED. As of today she is 5 Weeks old.

Pay no attention to the cups on the side of my girl, they're little side projects since I have so many auto beans now. Happy Grows guys! ✌

So she was pretty much topped XD no biggie. No big fat main for bragging pics, but now the lowers will all grow taller and it'll be a nice structure as well.

Well, shes a little over 6 weeks old now, big but having some kind of minor issues, again this is my first run with autos so I've just been winging it basically. Newer leaves have got some yellowing, and a few of them have brown spots across them. Went ahead and added a little calcium today, we'll see tomorrow if it helped any. ‍♂IMG_20200714_190824_055.jpg

So as of this morning my girl still has the yellowing, and brown spots, a few of the leave appear to be "taco-ing" at the edges. Unfortunately up to this point I havent been Ph-ing anything as I dont have a way to test it rn. However I did just order one this morning due to this. Hoping I can get her back to that lush green color.20200715_091423.jpg20200715_091402.jpg

Its typically low ph vs high but hard to even correct until you have a way of checking ph. Hope you're able to correct. Been there. Low ph killed my first indoor attempt :(

I used to fight with AUTOS all the time a few years ago. They would get rust spots about 30 days old, and would worsen for about 15 days, then just stop and never get worse. Horrible experience, I chased my tail forever. Lost.

I will say this. Once I ditched the LED lights I was using. Two 300w LEDs (246 actual watts combined) and replaced with 300W HPS. I don't have any leaf issues anymore. I've read that LEDs can cause the leaf issues. Makes me wonder if it's true.

Yeah definitely a bad call on my end man, but live and learn lol got a pH pen today though and found out that my tap water is pretty high, reading at 8.4. Got some pH up and down coming in tomorrow and shes due for watering so I'm gonna do the next couple with just pH corrected water and then give a light feed.
bruhh how have you not had a ph pen :wall:

I thought about it at first but I've seen so many others with great results so I feel like its gotta be something I'm doing lol

Pretty sure it's true. I'm not sure the science behind it but plants under led seem to suck up more cal/mag.

@greenappleman420 I've been running into the same problem you're experiencing. I haven't been able to totally kick the problem but backing off the led's seems to halt the progression. It seems to come hard and fast in early flower.

Ah hell, guess I'm gonna have to get a new light pretty soon then ‍:-|
Any light you get is going to come with a bit of a learning curve. It wasn't my intent to dump on led's. That being said, at some point your going to want to upgrade your blurple to something more modern with Samsung diodes or Cob's. Check out the Migrow youtube chanel, he does a great job fairly reviewing multiple led's with par maps so you know exactly what you're paying for.

@Zogs Oh yeah for sure man that will be the next investment for me. Just had a little spare cash so I grabbed this up. Also slight update my guys, since the flush with pH corrected water plants have put out a very strong skunky scent and they have started to pick up on frost production. Leaves still not right, still yellowing with the brown spots and red stems. A couple of them are half dead, all crispy and curled up. Will post a picture later soon as I get the time. bongsmilie

Ok so I never ended up with any downtime yesterday but just happened to he thinking about it this morning, heres what she looks like now, shes still drinking the pH flush. Once shes nice and dry I'm going to feed her. Hopefully it's not too late for this one. :confused:15953426865666962929193582064261.jpg15953427579454287064188958491791.jpg15953427906251240892699373310075.jpg

While not optimal, they can take a good beating. This is just over 8 weeks. Veg is the most important part not to stress. In flower it's ok to see lite nute issues and get a good harvest. Just don't let it get that far out of control.
