My man you’re procrastinating just like me.. you need to get to work
What i mean by that is that i got tired of trimming so what i ended up doind in placing a humidifier and a dehumidifier in my closet and keeping it at 65 constantly... i was waiting till i felt like trimming the plants but ill maybe toss them in the bags...

Did another 2 after seeing there were still plenty of visible trichomes on the plant material ecerything ben kept in the freezer since the first runs i was just playing everything off. Material is still moist, only semi dry and is weighing 1.4 so probably a g when dry so maybe 2.2 gs total.
Im gonna do one last run and see how it comes out.
Its not as blond as the first runs not crappy but not as pretty

I personally like to grind my buds at least somewhat. I get that the trics are disturbed and they break, but I just dump everything including the keif into the mix.
I think it's a very time trade off between breaking the trichomes vs the solvent not being able to get to all the trichomes effectively.
I'm no expert on the subject, but in terms of common sense, it makes sense to me.
I wouldn't say grind it like you're going to roll a joint, but I personally wouldn't throw full buds in either.

That was my thought too.. it doesn’t make sense throwing it n full buds sice only a small percentage of trichomes are on the outer part of the bud.. im no expert though and have been told to leave them whole so ill do that, with some airy buds though and see how that works. Maybe ill have some mote pure end product du to les material contamination

Hey all I’m new to the forum just registered to reply to Billytheluther, I’ve run many bubble hash bags and made many golf balls of golden resin from both indoor/outdoor, best results are from fresh material not dried so when trimming save everything except the shade leaves cut the stems into inch or smaller pieces and store in the freezer in a trash bag until you’re ready to do a run.
I use 5 bags 20um to 300um I start with only the 300 bag, washing all the material through this bag leaving a concentrate in a 5gl bucket.
I use 3 5gl buckets filled 1/3 with water 6 bags of ice and a paint mixer on a drill, to 1 bucket I add 1 bag ice and 1/3 bucket of trimmings then gently mix for 10 mins in both directions, then I pour all the mash through The 300 collect the water and repeat until all material has been washed, then pour the concentrate through the rest of the bubble bags. So now it’s been washed once I put all the material in another bucket and add another bag of ice and keep mixing gently for the second and third run.
when you have all your wet Resin collected place on the little silkscreen and roll it up then twist the ends compressing out excess moisture (like wringing out a towel) I like to roll it into a sausage then cut medallions and let it dry.
hope I make sense and g’day from Australia

You risk ending up with a greener finished product grinding up your buds. I do multiple washes, up to 12 usually. By the end of my bubble run, the bud in my machine looks like it's been ground.

I agree. Right around twelve seems to be when everything has broken itself down to a mushy, mealy consistency. Then the leftover mush goes to the compost pile for next seasons soil.
When I first made bubble hash, years and years ago, I would use lots of ice, a mixer and just beat the heck out of the material. And I had decent stuff in the end but it was green with plant debris.
Now a days, I use very little ice, take more time and come out with a much better quality.

100%. Frenchy Cannoli style. I'm right there with you. More water>less ice. Let the gentle stirring and water bust open those buds.
