I'm starting a new journal to show the Spider Farmer SF7000 I won right here on RIU. Thanks to @Spiderfarmerled for the great contest prize and RIU for having such great sponsors.
I'll be running the light in a new 5x5 Spider Farmer tent I bought from them directly with our RIU discount code. I just got the tent setup and the light hung a few days ago and I'm still working on getting the environment dialed in. I was really impressed with the thickness of the tent fabric. At 1680D it's one of the thickest fabric tents out there. The frame is plenty sturdy and can hang up to a 140 pound load from the supports for lights, exhaust carbon filters and anything else you need. At 6.5' tall it's a whopping 9 sq ft bigger than the 16 sq ft 4x4 tent I've been using for years.
The SF7000 is advertised as a 650 watt actual draw light and my tests showed right at 653.6 watts at 100% power. That's just a .006% variation from the design. It's much closer than the last light I tested that was almost 10% higher draw than advertised. Hopefully this attention to detail carries over to the rest of the performance.IMG_20230115_232119528.jpgIMG_20230115_195754375.jpg
The box for the light was well packaged to prevent damage during shipping and contained the light, an owners manual, a nice long power cord and a set of hooks and 2 yo-yo hangers.IMG_20230115_191818706~2.jpg
The light uses Samsung LM301B diodes with a total of 1716 diodes dispersed heavily towards the edges for better light spread. It comes with a removable remote driver and an 8 ' cord so you can mount the driver outside the tent for cooler temps if needed.
I'm still in the process of figuring out all the strains I want to run next but I'm planning on
Purest Indica from Authentic Genetics
Pre 98 Bubba Kush clone only
Steve Lemme OG x White Cherry Truffle by GuamMaineian Gardens from clone of previous grow
The remaining strain will be either Sour Bubble from BOG Seeds, Northern Lights#2 by Authentic Genetics, Sour Cindy by BOG Seeds or Motorbreath 15 clone only.
I'm still trying to determine the sex of some of the strains to see what females I have available as for 6 weeks during November and December I was in and out of the hospital for my back. I'm doing much better now and trying to get babies back in from everyone that helped me out with watering plants and holding mother plants.
Going to be 4 plants in Roots Organic soil again with Dr Earth dry amendments and Epson salt for extra magnesium. Hope to have the tent full and be vegging the girls in the next week.
Thanks if you made it all the way through the crazy long intro. I'll try to not to be so wordy in the future updates :bigjoint:. All comments and questions are welcome.

I'm just so excited to be back in the garden. I hadn't missed a day in 3 years. Six weeks away felt like an eternity. I'll probably be less excited once I figure out how much trimming a tent this size is going to require after harvest. It's a good problem to have though.
Next thing you know you'll be shopping for a trimmer. Been tempted a few times myself, seeing more and more coming up on Craigslist.

don't matter planted at the same time always at harvest, they are several days strung out, helps trim jail.

some of mine were happy with the present they got.
I always grow more than my wife and I can use so we give the extra away to friends that don't grow. They are still trying to setup retail sales in VA so only medical card holders can use the dispensary system for now. We can only have 4 plants but there's nothing that says how big they can be :hump:. I like vegging for at least 60 days so now I'll think about bigger pots to boost the size of them up to fill the tent.

Just a quick update on the tent. The Purest Indica plants are doing great and the pre 98 bubba kush clone is super green and healthy. I got a clone from the Steve Lemme plant to root and I'm thinking it will be better to flower this clone out and leave the big plant as a mother for now.
I have 3 NL#2 seedlings at a friend's place and if I get a girl I'll bring it over to my house for the flower cycle. The BOG Sour Bubble is still not showing sex but if it's a girl I'll have to decide if I'm flowering it this run or running some clones at a friend's until the next time.
Hope to get this lineup sorted out in the next week or so and then I'll veg for a bit and flip them.
Here's some pics of the girls.

The NL#2 has double the fun as I waited 10 days for the first seed to pop and then planted a second seed in the same cup because I thought that the first didn't germinate. Two days later and two babies came up.

Steve Lemme OG cross is nice and easy to clone. 10 days after being snipped and nice enough roots to plant. All done in a Solo cup in the corner of the tent. So much easier than using my aero cloner or getting out the tray, humidity dome and heat mat.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend and your plants are doing great.

Everything is running smoothly and I'm still waiting for sex to show on a couple plants before I make a final decision on what to flower this run. I got some nice cheap pots at the garden center that are 9"x 9" square and grabbed some Gnatrol as fungus gnats are flourishing without it. Did a few transplants this week and topped the NL2 to encourage side branch development for grabbing clones.
By next week I should have figured out what's going to get flowered and what's getting culled or given away. Not a ton of interesting pics this week but here's the pot I got for 5 bucks and the bubba clone in it's new pot.IMG_20230128_200011656_HDR.jpgIMG_20230129_151805917.jpg

It's been a while since I updated as nothing really exciting is going on yet. I did win an auction on another forum for some BOG Seeds Blue Kush pollen that will be dusting at least a branch on everything I flower this run. I was planning on selfing a few of them with STS but now that I have this pollen I'm going to use it instead. I also got a bunch of cool seeds to run down the road at the auction; I got Ice Cream Punch, SFV OG X Biker Slush, Blueberry Gelato, Ice Cream Cake x Biker Slush and a pack of Doug Dawson's Sour Grape that's Sour Bubble x Grape Punch. The Biker Slush sounds really good. It's Karma's Biker Kush for the female and Lemon Slush from Dungeon Vault as the pollen donor. Hope to have some pics of the final selections to flower soon. I'm not seeing signs of sex on a few so I'll give them a little more time to show. I'm liking this Purest Indica from Authentic Genetics a lot so far. I'm thinking this will be really good crossed to the Blue Kush. Hope your plants are doing great.IMG_20230210_183542760.jpg

Northern Lights#2 is a female so she's in for the flower cycle. It's looking like NL2, Purest Indica, Steve Lemme OG x White Cherry Truffle and pre 98 bubba kush will be what I'm running. Hope to transplant the few in small pots this week and flip in about 2 weeks. Should be some nice old school flavors out of these.
Here's the NL2 plant

Got all the plants ready for flip. Everything looks pretty healthy with a few burnt tips on the Steve Lemme OG cross from too much peroxide being used to fight the fungus gnats I've been battling this past month. Switched to Microbe lift liquid drops for them and it's done a great job cutting the numbers down. Thanks to @DrDukePHD for the recommendation.
The pre 98 Bubba Kush is really looking pretty. Hopefully it goes through flower looking just as healthy.IMG_20230228_150045407~2.jpg
Northern Lights#2 bred by a forum member here from Authentic Genetics seeds. Thanks again for the seeds, I'm hoping for some classic NL flavor in these.
IMG_20230228_153429231~2.jpg

Steve Lemme OG x White Cherry Truffle is way too big to try and flower but I'm a glutton for punishment and just have to give it a try. I'm going to prune it heavily before flip to thin it out some and keep my fingers crossed I can keep it out of the light.

Purest Indica from Authentic Genetics shouldn't stretch too bad so I let it get decent sized.

Hope your plants are doing great and happy taco Tuesday!!

The bubba I've run before but I really over did it with UV light supplementation and it suffered. The smoke was fantastic with heavy coffee, kush and light chocolate flavors. Super relaxing indica effects that are a real stress relief. The NL2 are a strain I've been wanting to run since I first started growing so I'm hoping I haven't over hyped it in my mind. I've seen some good smoke reports from guys running them so I'm hopeful.
