First outdoor grow, first problem

Hey all,

Been growing for a bout a year and a half since VA legalized but this spring i decided to start my first outdoor grow. Moved a plant i had in my tent to a 15 gallon pot and moved it out. The plant responded great and exploded in growth but today i noticed all white stuff this on the plant. It rained like hell last week but been pretty dry since.

Any suggestions here?

Ive never had mildew on my inside plants so not too familiar with it.

Its also a bit off my house, below my gutters so maybe the neighborhood birds decided it was a good target?

Thanks for any help!

Hi, I'm newer to growing myself. Did you feel your leaves to see if it's something that can be scraped off? Has a smell? It could be a natural occurrence from recent rains. Like water spots on glass dishes. Just a thought though.

Hello there! It sounds like your cannabis plant may be infected with powdery mildew. This disease occurs in high humidity and low ventilation conditions, and it can quickly spread and affect the entire plant.

Firstly, you need to immediately remove all infected leaves and flowers and clean up all fallen leaves and branches thoroughly from the soil. If there are white mold spots on the stem, you can carefully wash them with warm water and soap.

To prevent the spread of the fungus, you need to increase ventilation and keep the humidity relatively low. You can try moving the plant or increasing ventilation, but be sure not to overexpose the plant to direct sunlight.

Additionally, you can try using some fungicides targeted for powdery mildew, but use them with caution as they may have negative effects on your plants. It's best to seek help and advice from professionals or staff at a gardening store if you have any concerns.

Finally, you mentioned that it may be caused by birds. If so, you can try using some measures to protect the plant, such as adding bird nets or other protective measures around the plant.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me anytime. military defense barrier
