Hi everyone,

I've allways been fascinated by cannabis, and since a couple of days, I started growing myself.

This is my Setup
Tent :
Green Qube (1,2 x 2,4 x 2,2m)
Lights : Lumatek Zeus 600w Pro Led (2 times)
Containers : Air-pot 22,5L (18 pots)
Medium : Atami Coco Coir & Plagron Perlite (70/30 Mix)
Humidifier : Ram Ultrasonic Humidifier 13L
Outtake fan : Prima Klima PK125 EC-TC 680m3
Vent Intake fan : Ram Mixed-Flow Inline Fan 516m3
Controller : CliMate Total Controller
Carbon Filter : Phresh 1000m3 filter
Fans : Ram Oscilating Multi Fan (2 times)
Meters : Bluelab Ph pen & Conductivity pen

My environment is setup currently like this :
First 3 days was 24h lights on at 25% intensity at 60cm from the pot.
Tonight was their first day of 6h lights of, and from now on their are on the 18/6h light schedule.

Humidity is set to 70% and kept that way using my controller and humidifier.
Temperature should be in range of 21-23 Degrees Celcius.

Today I'm receiving an extra hygrometer, so I can visually check the environment numbers.

Air-Pots :
I have 22,5L Air-pots that are mixed with Coco Coir & Perlite (70/30mix)
Before putting them in the pot, I rinsed them 2 times, and runoff showed a reading of 0ppm (0EC).
Then I buffered it with a 150% Cal-Mag dose (Advanced Nutrients Sensi Calmag Extra) and PH'd at 5,9 and let it soak for atleast 12h, before putting it in the Air-Pot.

I just read that its not allowed to comment/post in people's grow diary. However, its totally fine with me! That why I started this grow journal, hoping people will help with their knowledge and spot things I don't as a new grower!

So all posts/help are welcome!

Day 4

Temp : 21-23C
RH : 65%
Light : 50% @ 60cm for 18/6h
Water : no water given
Video Update :

Today we increased intensity to 50% and lowered RH to 65%, we also spotted our first "deficiency?" I think?def5.jpg

You should grow a couple of photos in that huge tent at the same time as your autos.
Then you'll be able to save a lot of money cloning the photos, and not need to keep buying seeds.
You can even use your humidifier as a cloning machine.

Day 5
------
Temp : 21-23C
RH : 70%
Light : 50% @ 60cm for 18/6h
Water : First water given (0.5ml/L Voodoo Juice & 0.5ml/L Piranha)
Video Update :

I gave 100ml to each plant. I will give them a new watering every 12h (so each plant is getting 200ml of water a day).
I also put the humidity back at 70%.

Day 6
------
Temp : 21-23C
RH : 70%
Light : 50% @ 60cm for 18/6h
Water : Water given (0.5ml/L Voodoo Juice & 0.5ml/L Piranha)
Video Update :

We gave another 100ml of feeding water to our plant. We do this twice a day at this stage with a gap of 12h in between.
Today we also installed our new SensorPush Hygrometer, because measuring equals knowing!

Day 7
------
Temp : Averaging around 24,5C
RH : Between 60 & 70%
Light : 75% @ 60cm for 18/6h
Water : Water given (0.5ml/L Voodoo Juice & 0.5ml/L Piranha)
Video Update :

We are still giving 100ml of water for each pot, twice a day. I also changed the pot size from a 22,5L air-pot to a 9L air-pot, this will create better air circulation, because it was packed inside the tent. Since im going with high fertigation method, we will also use less nutrients, because we have to water untill runoff, and with a 22,5L pot thats alot of wasted nutes.
I also changed the light intensity to 75% today. Height is still at 60cm.

Day 8
------
Temp : 21-23C
RH : 70%
Light : 75% @ 60cm for 24h
Water : 2L Water per bucket
Video update :

Today we did our first feed to run-off. We gave each 9L air-pot a 2L feeding. In this water we mixed the following nutes.
Sensi Coco Grow A : 2ml (1ml/L)
Sensi Coco Grow B : 2ml (1ml/L)
B-52 : 2ml (1ml/L)
Voodoo Juice : 2ml (1ml/L)
Piranha : 2ml (1ml/L)
Nirvana : 2ml (1ml/L)
Bud Candy : 2ml (1ml/L)

PPM measured at around 350-390, and the run-off was about 490. (Normal because this was our first water to run-off)
We are going to feed our ladies again in 10h, but then we only water them 200ml each

Can't help feeling this many chemicals is a needless waste of money
Cheap agricultural fertiliser ($5/Kg) 20-10-30 and a splash of Cal-Mag (because you're growing in Coco) is all it really needs.

PS. The new leaves shouldn't be pale yellow, there's something going wrong with your plants.

Well I addressed this issue in another threat to u, where u said I should water more often, I havent added any nutes untill today, so hopefully that clears the yellowing leaves issue. The fertilisers, u are probably right, but I want to see what the best possible available nutes can do compared to cheap fertilisers in my next grow.

Also today I did a first feed as u can see in my post above, but now like 5h later, some of the plants look droopy, whats causing this?

Prehaps a PH problem, I've currently got some small clones with yellow new growth and I tracked it down to a PH pen giving false readings. Thought I was at PH 5.8 and reality was PH 5.3. Too many nutrients in soil cause a similar problem in seedlings.
Bigger plants can cope with errors like this (my full grown plants haven't paused because of the PH being too low for a week), but seedlings and newly planted clones are very sensitive. I've never pushed my EC much above 250ppm (and 80 of that is from the tap water) for my entire grow (0.5gm/l).

Was your Coco actually sterile and neutral (some isn't)?
Is your PH measuring device working properly?

I think this might be the answer ..........
"The Atami Cocos Substrate is unique in the fact that it is a coco with light fertiliser included"

I fully rinsed the coco 3 times, then I buffered it in 0ppm water at ph5.9 with a 150% calmag dose. So im sure its not the coco.
About the ph pen, I calibrate it every 2 weeks + I have an extra swipe test kist to double check my readings, so also not a problem with the ph.

So I have no idea what else can cause it, other than the coco taking the iron or potassium out of the seedling.

But thanks for your info :)

I don't think you can wash slow release fertiliser out.
Best to not to try and grow cannabis seedlings in any grow medium that contains it.

Autos tend to go straight into flower when stressed this much, will be interesting to see if yours 'panic' flower in the next 7-10 days.
