Hey Ya'll!

Thanks everyone for all the dope advice so far - i have returned for more! So, GG#4 auto - chopped the girl 1.5 days ago. Cut her into large sections and hung on hangers in 4x2 grow tent - have humid and temp sensor at 70 deg F and 50% humidity - I put as much stem on each piece hanging as possible to try for an extra long dry time - im in no rush - left all leaves on the first day and then last night - at about the end of the first day of drying - i open tent and smells of wet hay - I have a small fan at the bottom to circulate air and a humdifier shooting cool mist into air to keep RH at 50%.

Once I smelled the hay smell i immediately opened up the tent to air it out and began trimming any fan leaves and/or larger sugar leaves to prehaps air it out more - also - i left full stems on all the girls hanging - wtf am I doing wrong here? why the smell on GG4? Its only days 2!!

1 week prior to chop - i RO watered only and added the GH flush agent. I chopped her while she was still in water - oh also - I grew DWC - HELP!! any advice greatly appreciated.

Below are pics of them hanging - ive never done this before - did i leave too much stem? Should I cut them into smaller, more aerated pieces? Are the buds too large and I need to dry another way? Its a super sticky GG4 so im not sure- please help! she smelled amazing and now like wet hay!!

** I have removed the dwc bucket from the tent since taking pics**
** the fan is a small 6 inch electric fan hanging about 5 inches from floor - not directly on plants**

Looks like you chopped early.

Brooooooo no fuckin way haha she was at week 9-10 of flower - the hay smell went away when I dropped the RH from 55 to 50 and turned on the exhaust fan once every few hours on top of the fan at the bottom of the tent - Lol nah this is my first grow tho - what makes you think it was an early chop? So i know for next time - like the leaves look good - colors look good - tricombs look good - it was a day away from shooting a fox tail on one of them lol so i thought it was late tbh! lol

You have new white pistils shooting here and there...... that's lost inventory now that it's chopped.
I myself am in week 9 after flip, and probably have a few more to go.
Lessons learned and growing hopefully gets bigger and better. Have fun!

Why drop the Rh? If anything raise it to 60. You don't need much air circulation at all either.

Looks done to me. No point in waiting a few extra weeks just for a dozen hairs to turn.

You like speed. I like chill. And it is the heads. Got white hair in my golden trykes. LMAO.

Enjoy your works rewards regardless.
Peace.
I harvest when it looks done to me. I don't sweat over a couple white hairs. This is what "done" looks like to me. If you like to take it longer or shorter I don't care, just as long as it gets you stoned and makes you happy.

My point exactly. We can never duplicate eachothers grows. Or experience our differing tastes or preferences. The old walk a mile in his shoes.

What it takes to make you want t grow and grow more than our girls. Honest success to all.

Here is my idea of finished. LOL. I'll give you a hand towel with your drink. Drool inducing for casual speedsters. LOL. 001.jpg

In this shot, you can actually see the plant was done by looking at the trichromes. The pic is so sharp you hardly need to zoom in. Very nice M.

Thank you. Appreciated. Sadly first greenhouse grow. Big issues for a few. Smaller yield. Ho Hum.

Always strive for a better result no matter the flattery. If you did this? You know you can top it your next attempt. Only remember that nature did it. You were just a good care taker.

So - correct me if im wrong here - again, learning first timer - but I have never came across shit that ever mentioned pistils starting to grow after semi-full/full bud growth....I saw those as the start of fox-tails? Is that wrong? Or those bannanas - like shit shouldnt be growing from the top of the buds at this point at all - they felt dense and i got scared when i saw the new growth!

But now that everyone is saying it was early - and im staring at them - perhaps the fact of all the hairs and color....there should be more green to dense the fuckin buds....damn

Ok - so like - what should I have seen to lmk she was good to go? She was also at 9-10 weeks of flower!!!! thats crazy haha this shit is so fun - well I have a 5 foot blueberry thats takng up my entire gorilla tent 4x4 and a newly popped blue cookies and 2 new popped gelatos - so ill have plenty more to learn from yall and show you pics - i guess ill have to wait to chop next time for approval from the gods here :) lol ill post back w weight and pics when shes done drying - shes on day 5 and perfectly dry crispy wet - perfect smell

I ended up dropping RH for a day ad cranking the exhaust fan - spreading the girls out on the line and triiming more of the fan leaves - this lost the smell and then I emergency CRANKED the humidifier and the buds are PERFECT! ima leave em in there until i get a crisp snap of a twig - still got bendy ones but it smells fuckin great - you guys have a guess by the pics how much weight i have? ive never had a plant to weigh lolIMG_4879.jpgIMG_4884 2.jpgIMG_4885.jpgIMG_4886.jpgIMG_4887.jpg

First time drying and its a sticky fucking GG - the hay smell scared the shit outta me so i dropped it in hopes the smell would stop - it did and then I cranked the RH up to 80! to rehydrate everything and now the girls are perfectly bouncy and crispy :)
