Florida petition to legalize growing

MedMen and others are down there trying to set up legalization of their own without the home grow option. It's the same corporate greed bull shit they have pulled out in NY. There is enough profit to made for these companies even with certain numbers of folks selecting to grow their own product/medicine.

Yes, the MedMan petition is listed under "Make it Legal Florida".
The petition previously noted is the other petition circulated by "Regulate Florida". This is the one to sign if you like growing your own. Merly download/print a copy and send to address listed. Pick up locations are listed as well. Sign and mail directly. The Governor wants the voters to decide so let's get it on the ballot.

I don;t think anything is going to happen this election cycle. Even if it gets on the ballot, the support is lower than needed to pass.

Where have you been? Way back in 1966 we were joking around saying "when we grow up they will be selling it like cigarettes". I'm sure there are others who wonder "how much longer can it go on"? The time has never been better my friend. Sign the petition and use your right to grow and vote. I can't say I admire Mr. Trump but he does stand firm on State's Rights and I have to admit for once he is right.
Check out his opinion:

I'm all for legal rec if it includes home grow. But it does not have the backing at this time. Look at the opinion polls before the med vote, then look at the actual vote. Now look at the polls on rec. It needs to be 10 points higher to have a chance.

OK, maybe I read a different poll. Greatest poll I ever read said Hillary on top. Look what happened there. Med was passed second time with persistent necessity. There is still a whole year plus before the election.

Just an update: Medmen have more than half the ballots needed. Regulate Marijuana petition contested by Attorney General. I guess anything would be an improvement but growing would remain gray with Dispenseries being the only outlet.

These guys sinking the money into this are hoping to make huge profits in Florida. I still don't think it will make it by 2020. Lots of work to get something like this on the ballot. {and many stoners who sign the petitions and say they are registered to vote turn out not to be}

I wonder if the people who signed actually read what they were signing. I wonder if these same people who ignore the grow-your-own option know how badly the big boys have failed and let everyone down? A quick search shows all kinds of examples like

1/11/2019 - Detroit, Kalamazoo, Lansing medical pot products recalled
"Certain marijuana items sold from the stores failed laboratory testing, according to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. The products failed because of issues such as yeast and mold results, chemical residue, bacteria, E. coli, Salmonella and coliforms."

2/16/2019 - Medical marijuana recalled for seventh time as pressure mounts
"Almost nine pounds of medical marijuana and infused products are being recalled from a Vassar store in Michigan’s seventh recall so far this year."

11/15/2019 - "More products affected in first Ohio medical marijuana recall
"The cannabis used to make the recalled rosin had failed independent lab tests for mold, yeast and other microbial contaminants, an Ohio Department of Commerce spokeswoman told The Enquirer on Friday."

It's sad but your prediction was correct. There are over 21 million people residing in Florida and they couldn't summon the signatures. I think people have lost faith in Govt and are just apathetic about believing that we do have rights. If we don't use these be rights they will disappear. I think the petition died as well.

It takes lots of cash to get these things on the ballot. We got one from the other guys in the mail last week. I did not sign it, as it doesn't allow for home grow. Hope we get a grower friendly one by 2024.
