This plant is from seed .
Paradise Seeds 2016 version of Sensi Star feminised.
I have a 2008 version Sensi Star beside it
Only noticed it on one fan leaf so far, I need to spin plant around for a closer look.
Ive cloned it, so as long as it doesn't hermie it should be sweet.As.

I have seen it quite a few times now. On one Herijuana x Jack33 plant there was a bowl sized little nug. I have also seen them on the leaf stem so when we pulled the fan leaf for harvest a little bud came off with its stem attached.

I spoke to the breeder and showed pics (sorry the pics are in my laptop and I am on my phone) and he said it is likely an Asian Thai (chocolate Thai is one of these) trait.

Also it all lessened with less nitrogen. It can trigger the over growth. I have not seen it lately now that I have learned to use less fertilizer.

My ttNL#6xAppy did the same thing. Its funny you say the extra nitrogen contributes because I ran 6 of these an it only happened on the two that were darker gr with a bit of cuping due to an error in feed with too much N. The only other time was yrs ago with coffee kush I ran and again, same thing. Too much N.
Its interesting to look at but not something I'd want a continued issue with.

I am sure it contributes to excessive foxtailing and longer finish times as well.

The same plant yesterday.

Just normal flowering nutes.
Doesn't appear too green or over nuted.
No foxtailing.
Seems as if it'll finish on time.

I wasn't saying you were over nuting to that point. Just that I have crossed the line and seen those negatives.

Your plants look great. I will say the pics support my nitrogen overgrowth theory. There is minor calcium spotting on your leaves that usually indicates salts are building up and starting to clog and burn some roots.

It is minor. I sure ain't saying this is easy or anything.

Hello @MichiganMedGrower.
Thanks for the info.
I will let them dry out and flush .
I'll up the cal/mag
Hard to keep them happy with 720 watts of cobs bombarding them with Photons from the top and side - lol.
I wonder why there would be too much nitrogen in the flower nutes ?
I'm using tomato feed as I dropped a full bottle of vitilink bloom .... grrrrr.
NPK is - 6.0 - 3.0 - 10
EC-ing at 1.4 - 15..
Plants around week 4/5.

I don't think there is too much nitrogen. I think there may be too much calcium.

I just had a theory about nitrogen because I cut it and don't have 13 finger leaves and leaf buds and overgrowth anymore. Some strains will do that anyway I'm sure.

My breeder said it was just in their phenotype. So it obviously happens to the creator too.

You may just have buildup. And it is only just showing. Even my Pure Blend Pro grow needs leaching now and then. Or just reducing the ec a couple of points and getting runoff usually works.
