Flowering question

If i just topped and prunned a few big fan leaves off of the girls, how long should we wait, if at all, to flower? b/c they are getting bigger every day?

The time to flower depends upon a few factors. How tall do you want them to get based upon your light strength and headroom? The plants will double to triple in height depending upon the strain. What's the wattage of your light? The lower the wattage, the less penetration the light will make.

Well im not too worried about how tall they get b/c we have alot of space, we have 10 foot ceilings. but we are running a 400 watt hps light. wat i was wondering is if its ok to go ahead and start 12/12 within the next few days even though we topped the plants 2 days ago? is it going to hurt them at all?

how tall are they? How many sets of leaves do they have?
Realy interested in what happens if you start flowering before a topped plant has sat vegging the new tops for a little first.
No sarcasm either, would it just be budding up, at the same time as the stem would be growing?

They are all about 1 foot tall. they all are at least 5 node regions up, or 5 leaf sets. 1 of them is showing sex, and the other 3 are very close.
