Flowering Time

So I’ve had my shoreline skunk in flower now since September 3, that’s when I flipped it over to 12 and 12. It is now October 26 and they still look like they have about three weeks to go. Everything I’ve researched said it was a nine week strain, has anyone ever had experience with plants taking too long to finish? Is there anything that I could be doing that’s causing them to do this? The Strain from this specific breeder says nine weeks but I’ve also seen stuff online that says they go for 12 weeks.

Plants don't have calendars. They take as long as they take. You have probably closer to 5 or 6 weeks to go.

Doing research on flowering time is a worthless proposition.

1st of all grower error can severely impact how long it takes for a plant to fully ripen. To many nutes, not enough nutes, over watered, under watered, bugs and so on.

2nd of all every single plant that comes from seed have different phenotypes. No 2 are going to be identical. It is absolutely impossible to predict how many weeks it will take to finish up flowering because of too many variables that have an impact on it.

So as said above plants don't run on a calender. They finish when they finish.

How long did the plant go?? How did it turn out?
Was this a clone, or seed? If everything goes right, the clone takes about 84 days. Smoke Report???
Ive been thinking about buying a verified clone of Shoreline, and giving it to my buddy. They are $1000.

Just for the record paying $1000 in no way guarantees that it will grow even close to the same in your garden as it does in the original growers garden. That's basically what the word Phenotype means, genetics express differently depending on the environment, and no 2 grows are the same.

Verified clone would be cool.
I had to cut about a week early, had no choice but….. it was amazing. I got 15 ounces and it is bomb. Probably my favorite strain of all time now. No paranoia but super strong. I don’t smoke during the day because I get real weird in the head. I can smoke this strain during my daily routine and I have a great time.
I’m in organic living soil and having issues now that I’ve moved. Pretty sure it’s my ph now that I have a new water source. Going to start adjusting ph and see if that helps.

Ive been growing long enough to know how to make the plant happy. Ive been growing inside since the dawn of HID for indoor growing in 1978. The first bulb avalable came from the USA nuclear submarines. Nuclear subs stay underwater for many many months and never come up. I dont know if they still do, but back then they grew their own veggies in the subs, and the bulb they used became available to the public around 1978, but it was very fragile, and they wouldnt guarantee it would make it intact in shipping, so no warranty. Then about 6 months later they came out with the Supernova. Both bulbs were Halide 1000w.
So it aint like I just started growing weed even 10 years ago. Ive also got a verified cut of Chem91skva. Actually got the cut and gave it to my buddy, as at the moment Im not doing anything. My buddy who is 71, has also been growing since the 70s. As long as I have. We both actually started growing using SHO 8ft fluroescent in 1976. Hes got a bunch of mothers from 90s, and early 2000s genetics. The best one is 1997-98 genetics of Serious Seeds AK47.

nothing I said had anything to do with your growing skill or exerpience. Just facts about environment and genetics. “Making the plant happy” has nothing to do with phenotype expression in different grows.

Hope you didn’t take it offensively, but I felt it was valuable information especially for any newer grows that might read this.
