Gorilla glue autoflower by fastbuds .....topped down to second and guided outward in a flux set upView attachment 4628024View attachment 4628026
what would happen if you wouldn't top, in your setup? If you just let the plant grow high "as natrually is"...? would the top be burned by the lights + foxtail like mad... and there will be only a few sidebranches very underdeveloped... and hanging erratically around...

If you dont top the two mains will grow taller or uneven and if you want your lights and colas even you should or continue to train out

Silky, I love your thread! I was sure something like this must exist, but so good to find it.

I’m fascinated by your Bruce Banner...when I saw how low to the dirt you were getting with it, I immediately began to wonder if the stem would develop roots if it remained in contact with the soil, and if that would increase vigor, growth rate, number of apices. I’m looking forward to finding out how that particular project turned out.

I agree with Kasseiopeija, you approach this as an art: your plants, your photos, your training - all are clearly shown and beautifully made. Thank you...for that, and for your wonderful examples of fluxing. Beyond any doubt I will put this to work ASAP.

It’s been a while since you checked in: I have to wonder if you’re doing alright. I hope you’re healthy and your grows are continuing, and I hope we hear from you again

I'm wondering about roots as well - although I guess I'll find out soon my self.

Last grow, I had removed nodes 1 & 2.
They were buried when I top dressed.
At harvest I found 4 strong roots where the nodes had been.

Based on that, I'm wondering about branches that touch the soil rooting and what - if any - effect that has.

Beautiful work! :bigjoint:

Silky,
Looking for some input here, I have seeds but this is a clone and I’m trying to do a comparison grow with your method and a plain Jane LST. Did I do this right?? Also do I need to take the leaves of the first node off? DF6AD4F9-314B-472A-A6A6-6BE01203BD20.jpeg

It looks like you have the right idea ive never done it with a clone so looks like your node wont be fully symmetrical but shouldnt matter to much. But yes remove the bottom 2 leaves leave the top ones once the top nodes get longer tie them down and keep training out

Turtlemainline(fluxing) by Silky

Hello, everybody knows its beautifull to grow a cannabisplant but what when your restricted in height or just want to take full advantage of your growspace and want an even canopy without the difficulty of having to place netting and scrog because sometimes it gets very hard to reach the back of your growroom.turtlemainline lets you have strong plants in a scrogtype style of growing so you still can take all the plants out with the ease of not having to place in a net and other then old skool mainline lets you have more then 16 maincolas in the same amounth of time it take to reach to 8 main colas with traditional mainlining because with traditional mainlining you top 1 to reach 2....2x for 4 mains and so on
So basicly force your plant to recover every time after a invasive topping session and this at least 3 times to be succesfull and somewhat having a decent yeild now with turtle mainline you only top 1 time very early in the seedlings life and the rest is just basic low stress training and vertical node removal.
Here is how it works:
First you need to grow out your girl untill she reaches 4/5th node and the 2 sidebranches on second node have developed a bit and start growing out a bit.
Top down to second node and remove the first node so you have a tiny stem with 2 little branches on itView attachment 4596238

Now let her recover untill she starts growing out again and guide her gently down so you end up with a open Y-shape or more a T-shape structure View attachment 4596239

Let her grow out and 2 times a day push her forward growth somewhat down so she stays soft and bendy
Also as she grows out remove the vertical growth(this is not to overcrowed her and to promote growth) and inbetween where you have removed the growth you can pin her down in soil with hooks or tie her down to the hydrobucket(your medium of choise)View attachment 4596240

As she has reached bigger stage in her life you also pin down the horizontal secondaries and clean up the branches as she grows out(this all promotes growth)View attachment 4596242View attachment 4596243
And the rest is basic low stress training and binding or pinning down into the soil and repeat these steps untill she has reached your desired size and Flip to flower

This is after 42days of training and she has been flipped to flower.
Now bind her futher down during her first week of stretch and during the stretch do NOT remove any branches or leafs to not stunt her stretch and wait with a heavy defo untill stretch is over
View attachment 4596248View attachment 4596249
And when everything has gone well and you did everything right you should end up with a even canopy where every branche acts like a maincola and are even in size(no waist no popcornbuds)
