Sup guys Is there anybody out there with a good recipe using fox farm ocean forest, dry amendments, and compost tea? Preferably a late veg/early flower tea & flower tea.. I love what ffof does for me in veg and I would like to keep it going organically. Do I have to top dress or can I just feed them tea?? Are there different teas? One to keep bacteria alive and one to fertilize plants maybe? I’m not sure.. 705345C7-7E4E-49FB-9BDE-D5A2C47AD0CA.jpegAA1510E3-B9AB-4121-B109-7B47E7066E06.jpegThanks guys..

Watch Mr. Canucks on youtube (video link below) compost tea video, it is very informative.

The measurements below are for a 5 gallon bucket.

My compost tea includes; 4 gallons dechlorinated water, 4 tbs root organics terp tea veg or bloom depending on stage, 4tbs unsulphured molasses, 1 tbs alfalfa meal, 1 tbs kelp meal, 1tsp raw silica, 1 tsp great white mycorrhizae, 2 ml hydroguard, 5ml cal mag. pH corrected before application. Brewed for 24-36 hours with a 10gal air pump.

Also you should look into getting a c02 block, 4in inline fan & 4in carbon filter (to blow out stagnant air, eliminate dank smells during flowering, control temp and humidity) for the setup as well.

Caveat I’m an outdoor guy,

I like down to earth brand over dr. Earth.
It’s made in Eugene and I fee it’s a level up in quality sourced organics.

Veg : their bio live formula is 5-6-3

bloom: I make my own

1 Cup fish bone meal
1 cup kelp meal
1/2 cup high phos seabird Guano
1 cup EWC

I run this in conjunction with PJF, labs , fermented fruit, pgr concoctions and a AACT that is heavy on hydrolysated fish, and freeze dried and powdered ascophylum nodosum.

also use fulvic and humic depending on veg\bloom.
Amorphous rhyolite tuff powder for silica , magnesium sulfate , and organic saponifiers ( aloe and agave powders )

I freestyle all my teas, no measurements and I adjust to what I think the plants want.
Works for outs.

Not sure how organics do indoors, all my buddies who run ins use synthetic lines in coco.
and their weed looks and smokes insane.

I use organic because I’m a frugal hippie and it grows massive outdoor colas and I hit high trich levels and can bring out the terpenes I want to highlight using FPJ and FFJ in my extractions.

All that for mids;)

So..
Not sure the synergistic action happens n smaller pots under lights.

Does the artificial spectrum penetrate the soil and kill microbes and mycellieum?
There are minimal micro pods /earthworms / lil soil surfers in indoor soil ; they do a lot of the work of decomposition in outdoor plants and without them I’m not sure organic amendments are as effective.

With indoors, I use a 440watt full spectrum that includes uva. Light reader says about 4000umols (sun gives out 5300) at 12" height, no bleaching from that height so far. For soil I use Coast of Maine:Stonington Blend, comes with mycorrhizal fungi, lobster compost, worm castings, perlite, dehydrated hen manure, coco fiber (coir), lime, and a mixture of meals (kelp, Alfalfa and fish bone. Dechlorinated aerobic compost tea (recipe above) every week, water with hydroguard twice a week.

This soil blend you can actually just add water, but extra nutrients and microbial life can only help. I read compost teas are best brewed for 36 hours.
So far no issues, 12 female plants.

Have a look at Dr. Earth.. Veg & herb and Flower girl... I mix 50/50 for flower...@2 Tbs per gallon of soil as a top dress.. Veg & herb has 7.5% calcium.. Flower Girl has 0%.. So they need to be mixed..
thats what i do too!

FFOF is a good base. I mix it with coco and worm castings and then use dry amendments on top of that base as needed

DONE …

Bottom 1/3 of pot ( FFOF )
Top fill ( Recipe 420 / Kellogg’s / Happy frog or similar )
Add EWC ( start at 10 - 15% of container size volume )
Add more perlite / pumice

1. FFOF can be brewed as a tea / soil drench ( see bag )
2. Ph water / feed at 6.6 / 6.7 ( bag is 6.3 )
3. You can Top Dress more FFOF for interval feedings ( just water in )

or

Dry fert ( Dr. Earth premium gold / flower girl / GH MAXIBLOOM ( soluble powder mix ) or jacks 321.

Recipe 420 dry fert. ( recharge mix ) available at most nurseries.

Flower girl has calcium. A lot of fish bone meal in there. They just don’t list it like they do with their blend marketed for tomato growers.
