Look up a nutrient available to ph charts quick google search should have a bunch.
Generally speaking you lower ph as you go along into flower and N is available at higher ranges. PK slightly lower

So Wud u suggest 6.8 ph in veg then work to 6.3 ph in start of flower. Something along those lines if in soil ? Or what do U use if u don’t mind me asking

So Also what Iam being told is since Iam using ffof soil to only ph when using nutes but when just watering which is every other time is with my tap water that is ph level of 8 and that is fine ?

Give or take. I think some people push it lower like 5.8-6 later in flower. Are you on city
water?

Maybe my previous post wasn’t clear sorry. For the record I’m only speaking on ph and nutrients from a book smart standpoint. Lol
I don’t use any nutrients in bottles form. Or ph adjust. I just make a great fortified living soil and let nature take over... Sometimes in no-till reusable pots. Sometimes I just recycle all my soil as it gets better and better with age.

I agree. Don’t mix styles. Choose soil or soiless. Not a hyrid or both.

I did not know this. Maybe u guys can help guide me. I was told from hydro store guy and some others that the only dif is that I don’t have to feed my gh nutes till ffof run out of pre nutes which Wud take approx 4-6 weeks (Till bottom leaves start fading ) then I can start a 1/4 amount of nutes (gh flora) I was not aware of the ph situation Iam in now. When to ph and when to not ? Ph with nutes then no ph when only watering. And I water every other feed

I know this is not what most people say.... keepyour ph adjustments for when your feeding a nutrient solution. That’s the only time itmatters. ( with in reason) if water ph is 8plus then it’s prob a water problem to begin with.

You're right..I'd only add even with nutes toss that PH meter and PH up and Down in a closet and don't touch it until you go coco or hydro..not needed in soil and will only fuck things up.

i agree , you do not need to ph anything ....your soil will do it for you. you dont need ANY ph up or down or the meter. Using synthetic food in organic soil is fine just be careful because you have no idea whats in it already.

This I don’t ph any water ever nutes or plain water there is just no need in good soil. When the soil starts to get depleted just upppot it. Plants grow themselves don’t over complicate it

I been on FFOF for a minute and I never ph water. I do ph feed solution to between 6-7, but thats it.

What feed do u use ? So your saying I can give my tap water at 8 ph when only watering but when I make a feed solution with my gh flora series then I have to ph it to approx 6.5 ph before giving to plants ?

Your tap water PH will drop significantly after you add nutes.. It'll be fine, my tap water is 7.8... I never PH anything in soil.

Your soil will buffer anything you put into it to a certain range. The pH of the soil will slowly drift with time one way or another. This is usually based on the amount of carbonates present in the water you use.

Yes just tap water for watering if your water is a ph of 8 you nutes will bring it down into the 6s most likely if your mixing right don’t bother phing anything if your in soil just let it ride

Fox farm ocean soil is prebuffered at 6.3 . Soil is hot for the first 20-40 days . Shouldn’t need nutes till then .

You do not need to ph the plain water or the food water. The soil will correct it no matter what. Ph 8 will not hurt anything in that soil. He is saying the same as most of us soil guys. no ph meter needed at all. Not for feeding or watering.
If you water is really bad it will show later on down the road but you cannot fix the ph without repotting into new soil so you are fine like it is. Feed and water like you normally would but toss the ph stuff in the garage for if you decide to switch to hydro.

It varies GREATLY per shipment of soil. they do their best to get it close to 6 but its never going to be identical. Some bags get wet a few too many times and all that "hot food" fucks the ph all up. it very rare with FFOF but it happens once a year for us. There is no "fix " to it....you just use it and let um grow or you toss it all away and start with new soil (thats too expensive to do)

Some plants just have those genetics built in... Plants look good!!!! Stop F*cking with your PH. It's soil.
