I have grown various mushrooms for over 40 years. I have always sensed a presence, usually benevolent. You know when you are alone in a damp forest and you feel oddly peaceful? Notice that you may not feel that way in a dry forest.

Could be negative ions. Could be....something more.

I live in a hardwood forest, it's hilly and not damp at all, but there is a wide variety of mushrooms growing here. You dig anywhere in our forest and you'll find a white mat of mycelium. I found 4 useful mushroom varieties on one dead tree this fall, chicken of the woods, white oysters, and blue oysters that we ate, and turkey tails that I made a tincture from and use daily. I plan on buying mushroom plugs to use next spring on my 25 acres.

Skimmed the article. I did not know mushrooms are the reproductive part of fungus.
Lots of fun facts about shrooms.
