So i want to try organics for the first time.
I have
happy frog soil
gaia green 4-4-4
And gaia green 2-8-4
I use ro water since my tap is hard (600+) and contains cloramine.
I dont want to run into a cal mag deficiency
Is there anything i can add to the ro water to give it calmag and keep it organic??
Ive heard about epsom salts but
Ive done some reading but cant come across a solid answer..
Will the salts affect the microbial life???
Im open to suggestions..

Whats in your water to 600 ppm? If it has some Ca And Mg then just mix in 10% or so to your RO.
Im not really sure what exactly is in it either that calcium magnesium iron and a couple others.. i just dont want to kill the microbes with chlorine or chloramine

Dolomite lime and there is another form starts with c I believe of lime can’t recall I think maybe lacking in mag though I’d go dolomite if worried but I wouldn’t worry you are adding ~man made organic nutes. They should have micros but not positive I never used them

dolomite lime cheap and help keep ph in check. Get one that claims fast acting imo pellets. I’m trying to find more natural alternative, just getting into organics myself

my next plants going into organic premix soil ( similar to yours), only alfalfa pellets to feed whole grow

I have a few pounds of cannabis leaves and stems etc, that I’m going to use as stand alone nutes on another Pretty sure that is the nutrient they were designed for

There is Ca and Mg inputs in the Gaia,if more is wanted Gypsum for Ca and epsom for Mg.
I have loads of gypsum on hand, any suggestions on how I should blend it in to my water along with epsoms ppm wise??
Ive only really done hydro flora trio with calmag and the cal mag is a must with ro water.
I guess im overthinking things maybe.. i do see on the gia green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 home page only provides n-p-k… though ive seen some where that they provide calcium..

You’ll have to put your ppm meter away. Do some google about gypsum and how water soluble it is. Epsom is fast acting so if you see a deficiency you just add a pinch to your water or foiler it. I just add dolomite lime to my soil and let cook. Haven’t had an issue yet.
