Starting to plan a room it’s 10.5 x10.5 ft but has a pretty low ceiling height at 6’9” . I plan on growing half the room and keeping half the room open for equipment. I have my light choice down to the gavita pro1700e or hlg scorpion Diablo. I like the master control gavita offers. Hoping to only need a pair for a 5x10 footprint. Just looking for current owners feedback like pro cons wish I new that before I bought it stuff. Thanks

I’m reading up on GR design and it’s all new to me so open to any advice and suggestions about anything lol not gonna cut corners or penny pinch when I do it but I like cheep options if the quality is there. @ herb&suds do you think those are sufficient maybe overkill?

Ya man I don’t want to spend a ton unnecessarily if your thinking there’s sufficient cheaper options but I just hate buyers remorse anyway like to hear any input feedback so thanks .

Dam those are pretty nice thumper. And this was a gavita hlg thread but I’m now thinking those 720’s are in first now. How long you been running them? Quite the savings still too

Been running for a month now, Only reason i got turned on to them was there was a person selling Fluence spyder 2ps on craiges list i meet him at a warehouse he has 16 Fluence units hanging an was changing out all of them to the 720s so i say i will let him no on the Fluences I go home an do some research an went with the 720s. He wanted 700 each with no back up support, the 720 is only 150 more with a 5 yr warranty I wish i had waited before buying my gavita LOL I got 2 more 720s coming. The gavita is a great light just over priced my new SE1 k horti bulbs looks dimmed next to the gavita but the 720 makes the gavita looked dimmed.

Just a random thought here on gavita lights. They've always been the overpriced option for lighting. They have quality components, but the lights in my opinion are absolutely not worth $1100/each to cover a 5x5. Checkout @bk78 and his meijiu lights. You can buy 2 for the price of a single gavita. His yields are ridiculous and his leaves are nice and healthy all the way to harvest. I would have bought 2 myself for my last upgrade but I was shopping on the cheap and went with a more affordable option. The grower's choice lights are excellent too. The geeklights are another one to check out. Happy hunting!
