Genetically Modified Organisms

What's your stance on GMOs? Good/bad ? Not sure?

So let's hear it what's everyones opinion on GMOs

Science is cool and all, but I'm of the opinion that science needs guard rails, and that some things just shouldn't be fucked with, such as artificially modifying the genetics of life forms on the planet. Could have dire and unforeseen consequences.

Can't argue there but the cats already out the bag... everything we eat has been genetically modified

Speak for yourself. I try to avoid GMO foods as best I can.

What about boob jobs? They're modified organics.

We are all genetically modified. Thank you people trying to kill more faster. Or get rich faster. Doctors are gagged by insurance companies. Who in turn are dictated to by the pharmaceutical companies. And then support every industry and practice causing your genetic defect which they treat the symptoms of only.

And organic is total bullshit as defined and required by the USDA and FDA as they are run by big chem agriculture.

Give me a GMO that erradicates greed and lack of empathy or man needs to quit.

Covid was a GMO! Nature made with our meddling.

I try too

I've went vegan twice for a year did the whole non GMO organic whole foods thing and I still get organic grass fed beef cage free eggs etc but I've been eating a lot of GMO foods are much as people say it's not cheaper..it is

Insulin for diabetics is GMO which have saved lives opiate painkillers are GMO...I'm just trying to see where I stand with it all and everybody else for that matter

I love me some GMO Cookies.

The red grapefruit was made from radioactive mutagenesis but you didn't hear a stir from it like you did with genome editing

In cali if your lucky.. it would be nice to get some land, and create a self sustainable way of life. Well water tap, Own crops (fruit trees, veggies etc) cows, chickens and have very little need for the “grid.” And step back from things like fast food, gmo’s, etc.

If I could I would I looked at some land in Cali and it was pretty expensive and I think the cannabis cultivation scene is partly why especially in Humboldt ...I could be wrong its probably expensive regardless of that

I live in an Ag community, and there is a massive difference in the quality of produce grown by organic farms vs conventional farms. I belong to a local CSA (https://www.localharvest.org/csa/) and most of the produce is grown at an organic farm about 5 miles from me. I pick up my box of fruit and veggies each week.

I'm glad you do. And sadly farms are too recent to not test for synthetics in soil. It takes almost a decade to organic remediate top soils.

Here is a thought. I support organic. Come see my broad leaf and dandelion lawns full of clover. It is fraud by OMRI and USDA as deceptively labeled and marketed.
