Gorilla glue experiment

So here we are at week 11. Plants are massive and looking good. New tent has fat rock solid buds. When looking from the bottom you can tell it's pretty much all buds. Lights performed very well. There wasn't much stretch but they are very heavy and bushy. Old tent had stretch but colas are huge. Not as fat as new tent but lots of sticky bud. I have a few weeks to go. I'm glad for this website. I learned so much during this grow from everyone's help. I used to harvest at this point before. Didn't know any better. Although it was good smoke it could have been much better. I'm very excited to harvest these soon.

Those look so good... they look like photos! Nice work! Can't wait to find out what the final dry weight is.

Is this both tents in the experiment?

Yes they are both tents.
What are your thoughts so far on the experiment? Any changes you'd make moving forward?

I would imagine there will be more info when you compare how they smoke, but at this point maybe you have some observations about how they grew and what they looked like up close during the initial trim?

It's hard to really compare plant to plant because I grew from seeds that probably came from different mother's. What I did learn from this is that miracle grow soil works well. I used to use the fox farm stuff. The new lights are more powerful than the blurples I'm used to. I won't be keeping them so close to the plants next time so I can stretch them out more. Good thing the light penetration is good on the new lights. It allowed for the buds on the bottom to also develop well. Less popcorn buds. Second picture from the top is a side by side of new and old setup. Notice the colas are short and long. Seem a little purple also on the new lights. Maybe from stress. These things ate a lot. Newer setup took more nutes to make them happy. Probably from the stronger light. Out of two tents the new setup felt heavier and more dense. There's definitely about 2-3 pounds of bud there when it's all dry and done. I'll post back with results next week.

The new tent also veged like crazy. I had to defoliate big time right when it preflowerd to make room for light. Had no problems and kept on growing like I didn't even stress it. With all the stress between topping, defoliating, and few dumbass mistakes I'm surprised they turned out the way they did. Found nanners just in time at the end. It was getting old and stressed. I believe gorilla glue loves to herm a lot.

Well it's all dried and currently curing. Out of the 7 plants I ended up with 67oz. Old tent with blurples got me about 8 oz a plant. New tent with new lights got me around 10oz. I'm going to do 1 more grow with the blurples and then upgrade to the newer ones I got. Light penetration was awesome on them.

I noticed your stems are purply looking. Mine are purple too so that must normal for this strain since yours are doing so well. Thought I might have a problem.

Outstanding grow man. The end product is unreal! I'm growing a few GG autos currently and I'm curious about the flavor, aroma and strength. I grew some Greenhouse Seeds Chemdog back in the day in DWC and it still stands as the most potent bud I've grown, it would get a seasoned smoker so baked they nearly got sick, no joke it was narcotic. I kept waiting on the trikes to amber but on the Chemdog they never turned from cloudy. I believe I let it flower a total of 13 weeks. It had monster colas and ended up yielding 13oz dry.
I know there is some Chemdog lineage in this strain and wondered how dominant the Chem side of this strain and does the GGA deliver the knockout punches their ancestors offered.

It was a 50/50 hybrid with a pine diesel smell too it. Very potent.
