An exciting night of HS Basketball at Moore, OK!.. Our nephew, Evan Barber #2, a senior at WestMoore, and signed to UCO on a full ride, pulls off a steal, and the 3 pointer with seconds left, putting the game into OT! 61-61... They went on in overtime to win 74-67 WestMoore! Evan crossed 1000 HS points on his last game!
Congrats Evan!

My nephew is there on an academic scholarship. It's his first year and he loves it there. Congratulations to the nephew!
Awesome!...and thanks!. He's a monster on the court. He's been team Captain for 2 teams. I really think this kid is gonna be in the NBA one of these days if his body holds together. They keep him in the whole game, unless they are just slaying another team, then they may pull him out the last 2 min.. He's a sharp shooter at the 3 point line. I've known him since he was like 7, and has always lived, breathed, ate, slept basketball. His catch and release is stupid fast.

NBA? Well, I hope so. Anyway, who says white men can't jump? Don't answer that.
Did u talk to him after the game? After he set the scoring record? Well, have fun,
bro.

You shot this vid, i assume. Fun, ain't it? I was totally out of sports after HS, until
about 10 years ago or so, and got involved in neighbor's kids grid kids. Followed
those boys all the way thru HS. Lots of damn games. It was fabulous. Great
experience bonding with the boys, and mostly with their folks, cuz kids don't really get it
yet, altho they left no doubt they appreciated it. It creates friendships that'll last.
I love HS sports. Thanks for sharing.

And then there's this:
That's crazy, my nephew is there on an academic scholarship as a freshman right now.
And both at the same U of Central OK? o_O

Wow 1stCav. Now this is really to be celebrated. In a way, it's
a shame we don't support your nephew's activities more than sports. Don't get me
wrong, I love sports, but how important is it that Tom Brady is the GOAT? How's that
affect me? Your nephew's activities have a much greater chance of affecting me than
Tom Brady or any super star does. Although, I think there's a pretty strong correlation
between successful athletics and academics. Congrats to you and AAron. You both should
be proud.
That’s cool man! Which sport?
It's an academic scholarship because he's super smart and speaks like 3 languages including Chinese which seems to be really in demand. He interviewed me this year for a paper he was writing talking about how the VA is screwing over veterans. I like his attitude, really good kid.
Oh, hell, I gotta ask: do either nephews partake? U guys don't gotta answer that.

I didn't shoot the video... it's broadcast on Kforsports network, and we watch live, then I take cuts from the recorded/broadcast game..... and yeah, it is fun to watch them come together as a team to make it happen. He's had his last home game, and now on the road for the rest of the eliminations.... tomorrow night might be tough against Choctaw, but we shall see.
