Grow room glasses

So are protective glasses needed when working under any form of light? MH, HPS, CMH, any spectrum of LED old or newer stuff? I ask because I've got a few lights older and newer including a 315 CMH, older HLG 3000ks, SF 1000's and a growers choice 420. I've got glasses but don't know if the ones I have actually provide the needed coverage. I try never to look directly at any of them but still after being under them and I go outside in the dark I can't see shit until my eyes have time to adjust, I love growing but don't want to go blind or even have eye damage because of a hobby. :(

Even indirect contact from the light can cause eye damage. Still hoping to hear from someone who might be able to answer the question that I asked. Thanks
Well I think you’ve asked it for yourself. You need proper Uv blocking glasses if you want to protect your eyes.

I was merely pointing out the fact the sun is damaging your eyes anyways lol

Would some polarized Ray Bans work just as well? I have seen they seem to sell blue for HPS and green for LED but curious if some decent sun glasses would work just as well and than could be used elsewhere. I have a pair of the cheaper green Amazon ones for grow room but a good pair of frames is often more comfortable to wear.

I’ve had a pair for years and they work great, even use them as sunglasses. I bought an HPS pair but use them under LED’s now.

The difference between them and regular sunglasses is that they alter the color so you can see your plants natural color better.

Here is a pic under my LED’s

No but you can buy glasses that protect your eyes just as good for $20 not the $165 they want for those.
I’m new here, but have been following along for a couple years. Every post I ever see you make has to do with money, whether it be LED or nutrients.

Why do you care so much how others spend THEIR money? You seem to butt your broke ass nose in most posts saying people spend too much on their lights, or people spent too much on their nutrients.

You should learn to mind your own damn business one day maybe?
