growing without nutrients

No because cannabis will not grow without nutrients.

This does not mean that it won't grow without fertilizer, as not all nutrients are derived from fertilizer.

Soil has varying degrees of nutrients. A sterile "soilless" medium such as coco will have very little to no nutrients, while rich organic soil might have more than enough for a crop of cannabis. Even tap water has some nutrients in the form of dissolved solids.

If you check out the organic section you will see a lot of people who are growing with "super soil" which is highly amended poting soil that doesn't need anything other than water to grow some great looking cannabis.

all plants need nutes, i use tap water myself but i let it sit for a few days before use to let the chlorine vapor off.
theres only calcium and some magnesium in tap water but those are just trace elements, and a trace is all a plant needs of some things.
but when it comes down to the NPK (nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) human assistance is needed.

all plants need NPK or they will just start, grow alittle and die.

^^This. Also, some strains and phenos are less hungry for nutes than others. I have grown landraces from 12/12 to harvest in a standard cheap multipurpose soil with no additional nutes. Other strains in the same soil needed feeding after a couple of weeks.

from what i heard about fox farm is its organic soil full of nutes, like earth worm castings , bat guano, this can also vary on what you buy.
i dont have the liberty of obtaining fox farm.

yea fox farm does have organic soil full of nutes. but do u guys think theres enough nutes in the soil to last it from start to finish?

yes and no, this can vary from strain to strain, it would take some experimenting to get used to what your working with strain wise.
the one thing that will truely help is to know your nutrient deficiency signs.

they can be grown without nutes...thats how they grow in nature...unless back before the asians started using it a few thousand years ago they was using nutes on random plants in the wild.thats why weed back in the 50's and 60's dont compare to what is grown now...stoners started figuring out that their grannie was giving ferts to her tomatoes...maybe it will work on my weed plant to.so yes...they can be grown without nutes...but your not going to get the big dense potent bud we all know and love.

more the better, bigger the roots the bigger the buds.
soil deep in the ground is full of worm casting and unused nutes, i cant do that in my zone for the fact the soil is more clay then anything, when that crap dries its rock hard.....not good at all

well im planning on vegging for about 3 weeks including topping then flowering it. should i add nutes for flowering only instead of using nutes for vegging cuz theres already nutes in the soil for the first couple of weeks?

Thats what ive been doing so far maybe a little bit of floranova grow in veg but thats it no nutes in flower just using fox farm happy frog and bottled water. Absolutely covered in trichomes and sticky resin. Hard to believe it until you do it yourself

Does he bring that dirt indoors? That's how you get bugs. Depends on where you live but near me the soil is mostly hard clay. Weed likes more airy soil so the roots can penetrate easier.

idk but if its earth like the one green grass likes to dwell upon I could imagine Cannabis doing well with it. That would be a more heavy soil but containing alot of rotten green plants parts.

has anyone here ever grown cannabis from start to finish without using nutrients?
i wonder how they come out.
My very first grow (2012) I used cheap potting soil and sunlight from the window sill....it grew but was not impressive
