Gun control is coming

Now that the "active shooter" has taken on a new profile,I sure as hell hope this incident doesn't spawn copycat shootings, man this shit has gotta end,how do people build up rage to this degree, how do they seemingly act on this rage in such a indiscriminate, emotionless, cold blooded manner.? How is it that this is uniquely an American problem?.Is there something telegenic happening in the US,yeah we have more guns than other countries but the mentality to randomly unleash heartless carnage points to something deeper. What prompts the heart to become this dark,is there some neuro electrical FK up in the brain similar to the CTE found in multiple concussed brains?
i don't understand it myself...I'm the angriest person i know, and i have no desire to shoot people i do not know, and no understanding of why anyone would want to kill people that hadn't done something pretty fucking bad to them first.
it might be something like the after effects of parental shaking while they were infants? they had their eggs scrambled while the shells were still soft?
or perhaps lead in the drinking water? or just particularly toxic parents?
How the fuck would you know if you guessed exactly right?
all these shooters need to be locked up with a lot of doctors so they can try to figure out what makes their brains go bad...again, thank you, reagan administration for hamstringing the mental health system.

It is March 27th, 85 days into this year

This is the 128th mass shooting in the US this year
Monday morning's shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, is the 128th mass shooting in the US so far in 2023, according to data from the Gun Violence Archive.
The Gun Violence Archive, like CNN, defines a mass shooting as one in which at least four people are shot, excluding the shooter.
Three students and three adults were killed at the Covenant School. The shooter, an unidentified female who police said seemed to be a teenager, was also killed in a shootout with police.
Last year, the US hit 100 mass shootings on March 19, per the GVA. The previous year, 2021, saw a late March date as well. From 2018 to 2020, the country didn't reach 100 mass shootings until May.
It is interesting to note the difference between polling on specific issues like guns and abortion and compare it with political polling and election results. Clearly some people have a larger "concern" than these issues or they would be reflected more in election results and subsequent laws. I think we can lay much of the blame for this situation at fox's feet, they set the priorities and concerns of their viewers and fuel culture wars that distract from real issues like large numbers of dead kids and other innocent victims. The comparisons with other liberal democracies who are just as free, or more so, are not just stark, they are ridiculous and makes the solution painfully obvious. However, the slaughter will continue until the democrats gain power and go head-to-head with the SCOTUS while the house holds impeachment inquiries into several of them. Like abortion, guns are an old conservative issue well past it's best before date and history has caught up to them.

Doesn't make sense because its just another false flag hoax as usual. You're right, people don't just do that, unless they are a crisis actor. Adam lanza 2.0.. gimme a break. Turn the ages of the 3 kids upside down, what you get?. Then take the first digit of the other 3 adults and add them together... You guys still don't see the obvious symbolism they use? It's so easy to deep fake events these days. They can just generate most of the actors with AI, and don't even need real ones anymore.

More than one a day, aces my Americans. Sure would be great if kids could stop getting shot in schools, in general really, but will settle for just not having them get shot by strangers while learning long division.

We can't have that though because we got a bunch of shitty spoiled dipshits as citizens.

Folks, ^ that right there is what happens when people lose the ability to think critically.

If you don't believe that the US is exceptional -- I don't -- take care to learn from us and make sure it doesn't happen in Canada.

Dear parents: Sorry to tell you, but no elected officials or government agencies are going to protect your kids from public indoctrination camp shootings, whether or not they are real or a hoax. Just like the bible prohesizes, things are probably going to keep getting worse, and you should go on permanent strike from your slave jobs, and keep them safe at home instead. Whatever home god provides that is. What's more important, paying your rent or taxes & bills for a property you technically don't own anyway, or making sure your kids sway away from killers, deadly drugs, gangs, etc.. and hopefully not become involved with anything like that?

Maybe stuff gets worse because people keep making it worse. We all play a role in it and have influence.

Perhaps the choice we make isn't what you present.

The bible says the earth is flat. Your logic falls flat too.

Support For Gun Control Laws Hits Record High, Poll Finds

TOPLINE
The share of voters who support stricter gun control laws has reached a new high, with more than two-thirds of Americans backing them, a new Morning Consult/Politico poll finds, as senators work to pass a bipartisan agreement that would impose at least some restrictions on firearms in the wake of recent mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas.

The gun lobby has lost support and the trend for support of tighter gun regulations is against support ever returning.

After reading the loopy posts by DTS, this should not surprise anybody. More and more gun owners support this change too. Its not a question of "if" but "when and how many must die" before rational and proven effective gun regulations are put in place. We are a democratic republic and the majority will prevail.

U took a lotta guesses, how about violent depictions in media, tv, movies, vid games? Sort of removes
the reality of the act and makes it seem doable to some half deranged person? I think that's a good guess.

then why aren't there a lot more people shooting places up? If tv and games were the cause, there would be a SHITLOAD more.
I won't say they don't seem like very likely contributing factors, but not underlying causes.
