Hair of the Cat - Part II

Not much to see just yet, so hold tight. It gets better, I promise!

Everything was started just over a month ago. All from regular seeds, so there will be some weeding out of the males.
Genetics involved: GrandDaddy Purple (1) Maui Wowie (5) AK47 (5) Deep Purple (3). The three smaller ones in the small containers are Kei Poison x Maui Wowie. I am not sure what will become of those, they were planted to just check germ rates. The flower time is way to long on those to grow at the moment.




Soil: Fox Farms Ocean Forest mixed equally with Fox Farms Happy Frog and some added perlite.

I have made a lot of hash in the past week or so. A couple OZs worth, but gave most of it away for Christmas. I made a little over a half an OZ today.
Also, I now have a new pollen press. I broke my old one. It was a cheap aluminum one, but it held up for over ten years. I now have a stainless steal one.

Today I flipped the light schedule to 11/13. This will induce flowering. Here's when the show begins.

I was wondering how you make your hash? I have a bunch of kief I’ve pressed into pucks but honestly just kind of storing it for now haha!

A day late for my weekly updated, so here goes.


Not bad for week three of flower.

Well, things are finally getting interesting.


Today marks one month to the day of flower. No problems so far.

Here we are again. So far, so good.


Starting to pack on some weight, with plenty of time to go.

The following seeds were planted today:
4 - Shut Eye F2 by Calyx Bros. Seed Co.
4 - Cherry Choke by Calyx Bros. Seed Co.
4 - Snow Wizard by Root 77 Genetics
3 - White Widow by Seedsman
3 - Tuna God by BC Bud Depot
2 - Purple Wonder - Seeds found in my outdoor GDP, father unknown.

Another week already!


Here we are at week six of flower. A few bugs have shown up, but nothing serious.

A day late this week, but still chugging along!


Some are almost ready, some have a bit longer to go.

This will be my last update for this grow. I will be harvesting next week!


I already took down the two Deep Purples. I was afraid they would become hermaphrodites late in flower, after reading another grow journal about them.

I'm at it again. I run all year round.
We have Two Cherry Choke, Two Shut Eye F2 and One Ultra Fizz by the Calyx Bros. Seed Co., plus one unknown I have nick named Purple Mystery (GDP x Unknown).
Starting to put on the weight. I like the structure and the monster kolas
