Unknown I have spent 202.70 total on lights and I was gifted two fan cooled boards of unknown wattage I've purchased 282 input watts but dli is what I'm after according to the scientists not wattage and I can always put in supplemental light where I need to the veg and seedling setup is 126 input watts cost about 100$ for lights and timer

Wish you all the best with your grows.
Sometimes we start off on the wrong foot.

If you find you want even more stretch you can run a couple of household halogen bulbs for a few hours in veg while the other lights are off.
The far red on its own will promote stem elongation.

Happy growing
I've been looking into r/fr ratio its intriguing and I wonder if I raise the overall ambient temperature in my rooms if my plants will grow taller faster since mostly far red is infrared meaning heat radiation I'm considering a heat lamp that's infrared I'm really keen on supplemental lighting also there's a 90 watt red/far red led spot light bulb on the market for something around 15$ that bugbee recommended for supplemental flowering light to increase dli over approximately 1' square but right now I'm just going to watch the show and keep em fed they're sleeping now 20211024_210832.jpg20211024_210845.jpg

That doesn't sound so cheap. For that kind of money you aren't that far off from the more expensive options and full spectrum.
Maybe correct but I have these lights already and they will cost no additional money I've been buying one light at a time when I can afford it 16351333416662778970494941055876.jpgMaybe none of you got other responsibilities or expenses or on a budget I have an all purpose approach that is working well enough for my needs and budget the whole family uses these lights and we don't plan to grow only cannabis i will expand into my 20x20 room with more modern equipment in the future but for the winter I'm staying in my mechanical room where it stays above freezing in winter I'll save my money and buy Christmas presents and warm clothes for my kids rather than buying grow lights i get to spend about 2 hours a week on this gardening stuff and I enjoy it a great deal i really enjoy scientific research as well and like to read testimonials from people who have more experience with an identical piece of equipment i fail to understand the arrogance and hostility I'm receiving for asking if anyone can share their experience with a specific product i really didn't intend any offense to anyone by asking I'm relaxing on my couch smoking a bowl of some excellent chaos kush and being attacked by internet trolls I'm plenty smart enough to hold my own and they really don't appreciate that but it is what it is and i always WELCOME a challenge again please fact check any claims i may have made i have plenty of source information if you want it. Just ask

And thanks to you I've done loads of research on lights and cannabis I had done a lot before but now I'm becoming intrigued and I've always enjoyed physics and studying the behavior of photons and other subatomic particles and experimentation anyway so why not take on the trolls in a battle of wits? A little punctuation goes a long way, just saying. :bigjoint:

....And I hope people are getting a laugh out of this thread, and just how far we have gotten from the original question. I'm really taken aback by how passionate some folks are about their lights

I was lightening the mood. I'm not dabbing, but stoned as shit trying to catch up on the thread. It was hard to read but I'm not being a dick. I'm guilty of poor punctuation myself. No disrespect at all, all good vibes.

I’m not really on a budget, I normally just ask what’s the best I can buy. But I’ve read enough of these boards to know that for the price of the lights being spoken about in this thread, there are cheaper full spectrum led lights that would give people a better option. I understand that you got some of these for free so use what you got, I respect that. But nobody should spent money of these lights thinking they will save you money, they will not. The cost more and will produce less weight and quality then the other cheap options out there. But again, good for you to use what you got. Maybe you can sell that harvest and upgrade.
