Hash edibles. Infusing to decarb?

Lots of opinions reading online. So I'll ask for the voice of experience. Some of the best edibles I've ever had have skipped decarbing and just infused simmering in butter.

I'm going to make hash edibles for the first time and truly want to know if I should decarb first? If so what's the best method? I truly don't see how decarbing for 30 minutes then infusing for 30 minutes is different than infusing for a hr.

Thanks in advance

We take our bubble hash, put it in a mason jar, add whatever we are infusing, cap it lightly, and into a crock pot hot water bath it goes. I leave it on low and most times let it got 3-4+ hours because I forget about it. We made cookies that are about the size of 3 chips ahoys stacked. I have a hard time getting up within 60 min, most people are only eating 1/3-1/2 at once. We use larf and trimming for bubble hash. I don't filter the actual hash out either.

Ahh, so that's 1 for no dedicated decarb step

And what is low in your estimate temp wise?

I do 240 for 40 minutes for my tincture flower. It is better in a toaster oven as they seem to have better temp control. Like you said there's a lot of conflicting information on if it's necessary but I don't mind doing it and it works with the Green Dragon recipe I use.
Try to split the hash into halves and try it each way. That's going to give you an answer for your hash and your body's endocannabinoid systems response to each. It's a PITA but probably the best bet.

240F for 40 minutes is the most accepted decarb time n temp. There are others though, just Google it.

The reason to decarb alone is to make dependable edibles every time rather than hit or miss.

I know cause I started out by thinking decarbing in oil or butter worked. And it did work but not consistently every time.

Now, for me, it's ridiculously easy and with very little odor, to use my Nova fx. If you make a lot of edibles it's worth it.

I've heard from both side about decarb/infuse, one person says it works the other says no.
So I decarb, used a pressure cooker this time, mason jar 40 minutes at 15psi, seems to have worked.

I am looking for the same answer as OP - how to turn a ball of bubble hash into edibles? It’s too late to decarb the weed, the hash is already made. Does the hash need to be decarbed by itself before infusing, or can a long enough infusion process decarb at the same time? I’m trying figure this out for the first time to make edibles for my mom (stuck using a walker after recent back surgery complications and the docs won’t give her pain pills anymore).

I made brownies by just infusing in oil for 90 minutes. Should of been about a 75 mil dose. It was a great high for about 8 hrs, and feel great after waking up. Next batch I'll put some parchment paper in a shot glass or something and decarb the hash at 235 for 30 minutes. And only infuse for 30 or 45 minutes at a lower temp like 180 200 ish and compare

Sorry, but that’s not a tutorial. It’s a thinly veiled sales pitch by that company, to push their “proprietary” product.
Take from it what you will but the test results from an independent lab are an eye opener, at least for me, and they are definitely not stoner science.

Perhaps you have contrary evidence that would dispute their claims?

They used hand drawn graphs, with no scale, to (literally) illustrate their point - which was: “anything you do at home is wrong, because you need to use our device“ - and then theres a link to buy it for $199. None of what you said changes the fact that it was a very biased sales pitch, with an obvious click-bait title.

I made a second batch, decarbed at 235 for 35 then infused at about 180 200 for 2 hrs. No difference vs skipping decarb and letting infuse do the decarb that I could tell.
