As some of you may know I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE hash. Next to finely cured cannabis tops its my favorite. I have been making pretty good quality iso hash for as long as I have been growing and have even made pakistani charas (a hand rolled hash) from my harvests.

So, I have been considering upping my hash making game and thought I would provide my RIU brothers vote on it.

So, should I buy a bubble now machine with filter bags, a dry sift set up or should I just focus on making it the old school, time consuming method?

Lets get some opinions and talk about quality going here.

Thanks in advance.

Sure, the charas method is probably one of the oldest methods for making hash. Basically, you harvest normally, trim fan leaves, leaving all sugar leaf intact. Dry normally, once dry you take branches and rub them between your hands (imagine your hands in the pray position) work your way from bottom to top, the trichomes sticks to you hands and the heavier plant material falls off. After a while you end up with hands caked in trichs, which you scrape off and collect. Its time consuming but uber traditional. I only learned of the method from my gf who is from pakistan and as she explains it, its been done that way forever in the region.

My iso hash is good, I go for quality and end up with something that is just a step below honey oil in terms of potency. I often have to freeze it because it melts as soon as you touch it and I use sugar leave and popcorn buds.

One reason I am trying to get away from iso hash is because I have questions regarding the possible left over chemical compounds from the iso. The various methods I have listed will all produce 1st quality hash, its just a matter of work vs reward and efficient use of funds vs longevity and production capacity.

sounds fuckin kool man,
just branches tho?
well, you dont trim any buds off, just the fan leaves, so its nearly the entire mature plant with excess stem and all fan leaves removed, just the stems, buds and sugar leaf remain on the branch when you start collecting.
