I have a qualifying condition, crohns d. Are there other members who have one of the conditions that are looking for info on getting a mm card? This topic is only for the qualifying condition that are listed, 6 conditions. Not the ones that will be trying to use it for other conditions as they will more then likely have to wait till April/may when the department of health tightens up the regulations.

"(C) "Debilitating medical condition" shall mean:
Cancer, glaucoma, positive status for human immunodeficiency virus, acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), hepatitis C, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Crohn's disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and other conditions as determined in writing by a qualifying patient’s physician."
Please try not to develop an "us & them" mentality even before this law goes into effect. WE are patients who qualify. Period. Do I suffer less because I have P.T.S.D? Or how about someone with insomnia? Menstrual cramping? When the law goes into effect, ANY condition, as long as DR. approves, will qualify as a debilitating condition. I think its important that anyone who is suffering should have access to this medication. We need to stand together, and not worry about who shouldn't be able to have. That is up to physicians to decide, so lets keep it that way.
The process to get a mmj card, regardless of condition, is the same. Effective Jan. 1, 2013 patients will begin to be able to submit applications to the Dept. of Health requesting a mmj card. Mail Dr. note and application to Dept. of Health. Save copies and keep on you @ all times. This constitutes as your card until the state figures out guidelines etc. The link below might be able to help you find more information.
