Health Canada currently inspecting ACMPR personal production grows

I've heard from two separate sources from different online groups that personal ACMPR grows are currently being inspected by Health Canada in Winnipeg. Both instances happened in the same week, zero connection with each other, both had scripes of 50g per day.

Last two years I've never heard an instance where Health Canada has inspected a grow. Police, bylaw offices sure but Health Canada? I know back in the day this happen, but it seems HC is under some pressure from other governing bodies to cleanup the program.

Has anyone in other provinces heard of such a thing? I did some digging around and did see some comments regarding similar inspections 2 months ago on a hand full of private ACMPR's out in the interior of BC mostly focused on Shuswap/chase areas.

Anyone notice or hear of an increase in inspections on private production licenses?

Yes, I agree... wrong choice of wording on my part.
An article was posted here not long ago regarding ACMPR holders selling their weed and this needed clamped down on. And it specifically mentions neighborhoods in Winnipeg visited by expensive vehicles with BC license plates.

I find once you start seeing articles like that try to demonize something. It's not often long before someone in the gov will take up a crusade against it.

My buddy has been growing MMAR and ACMPR large plant counts and usually 2+ licenses in one location and in 30 years he's never been searched once at the address of a legal grow. This is in Ontario.

MMAR wasn't as abused (grow size wise) as what we got after the Conroy's case and ACMPR. People knew the system was on limited time and went buck wild. There's some monster greenhouse places out there. I heard quite a few got shot down in Langley BC area. They seems to be going for large licenses with big set ups here. With FUD articles like this https://globalnews.ca/news/7935387/bc-cannabis-testing-tainted-illegal/ they are trying to install Fear Uncertinty and Doubt into consumers and into growers to protect the black market.

I am not saying there aren't any clean black market grows. But the ones in Ontario here that have been busted have been absolutely gross. I have no doubts at all that they would use whatever fucking pesticide or product without a second thought.

No different than what the Lp's are doing
Except nobody wants to talk about savvy soups of PCP traces based on non-detection concentration thresholds, to boost synergy toxicity while individual peaks escape all radars, for a lack of top-notch instruments capable of detecting the non-detectable... The burden of proof being conveniently transferred to vulnerable/unsuspecting consumers, etc.

E.G. still playing cat 'n mouse, just more sophisticated. Which is when "science" kicks in: to deny and more.

Good day, have fun!! :peace:

Go back two years ago and see how many LP's for busted for pesticides. Most LP's get the option to radiate their weed if it doesn't pass testing. I can go to any store or farmers market and chew on any veggie and ingest who the hell knows what.

These idiots where lobbying to get Nova (Myclobutanil) legalized to used on weed when even DOW said don't use Myclobutanil on combustible crops lol

I don't doubt that's happened either. I don't work for LPs I don't buy LP weed. I was merely saying the BM grows here are really bad and I can understand why it's getting a bad rap.

but I totally agree the LPs can suck it. I am happy to grow my own meds for a fraction of the cost

the only pesticide I use.

The thing is illegal grows have been what they are for 40+ years lol. Now that LPs are fucked and COVID has shown the Canadian domestic market is nothing to what they were estimating the FUD is coming out. They tried the same shit with MMAR and electricity and fire dangers in grow room lol. The judge even called out the HC witnesses are being biased lol

So glad they are worrying about whats in weed vs what's killing addicts around Canada. Got to prodct the corporate money makers first. Hell they even tridd the "laced" weed shit too.

What changes do you suspect are coming after the review this October? I've heard some people mention it will take Health Canada months, even over a year to make the changes but it seems like they are trying to get ahead of the game and will come out with new regulations quickly.

Do you think the large scrips will be eliminated? You think getting a 50g/day license will be very difficult in the future? I know its all speculation but I'd like to hear your view on it all.

The MMAR which allows people to grow in Canada came in effect in July 2001. There was a Major Court case that happened.

"July 31st, 2000, the R. v. Parker decision established that individuals with a medical need had the right to posses cannabis for medical reasons. This led to the institution of the MMAR."

Not sure how your buddy "could be growing mmar for 30" when it wasn't even around prior too 2001.

I see take "what you post with a grain of sand" ...

Yes you are correct. He's been growing for 30 years. But legally since the mmar. I should have made the distinction. But in the time he has grown legally and hasn't been visited once. Sorry for the confusion.

also sure throw me on ignore no biggie.

I don't think they can do anything. The only practical solution would be to go after the MDs/NPs selling big scripts over a skype call but Health Canada has zero oversight/jurisdiction on doctors, they're only there to provide policies, all governing of medical practicioners is done at the provincial level, not federal.

If they can't even get a simple renewal processed within 90 days they sure don't have the ability to go physically inspect grows. They need a warrant to come take a look anyways.

I'm guessing they'll just kick the can further down the road and say they are "doing futher monitoring/research" but nothing will actually happen.

People just need to go to their Dr's and get the scripts they want. No need to go to "Skype" Dr's Either.

Bring back the MMAR and less people growing.

"By the way this is a small script compared to some other people that I know" ..

From what I've been told changes to max grams per day and no more sky doctors, doc has to be in same province. Also changes to DG's and limit to 2 licenses per address.

What's the Max GRAMS you have heard? Also will there be another grandfathering for people that might have setup under this current acmpr system ?
